Kane Brown sang a duet with a young fan at the 10th annual 102.5 KNIX Secret Show in Tempe, AZ.

The country superstar performed his chart-topping single “What Ifs,” a duet that originally features Lauren Alaina, with a 12-year-old fan named Lilah, on Tuesday, July 26, at the Marquee Theatre. While Brown’s 102.5 KNIX performance was a secret, Adam Doleac opened the show.

“You got this, I hope you blow everybody away, that’s what I’m waiting for,” Brown told her as a member of his touring team helped her put on in-ears. “Y’all give it up for Lilah one time.”

Brown then exploded into the fan-favorite song alongside the excited fan.

The country hitmaker sang the first verse of the tune before the 12-year-old aspiring singer joined him on the chorus and belted out the lyrics to the second verse herself.

“What if I was made for you / And you were made for me / What if this is it / What if it’s meant to be / What if I ain’t one of them / Fools just Playin’ some game / What if I just pulled you close / What if I leaned in / And the stars line up / And it’s our last first kiss / What if one of these days baby / I’d go and change your name / What if / I loved all these what ifs away,” the superstar and fan sang on the chorus.

After sharing the stage together, Brown praised the 12-year-old fan’s courage for joining him on stage for a duet.

Following their performance, Lilah chatted with Fox 10 News about the experience with Brown.

“We kind of just vibed off of each other when we were singing and as soon as I started singing the crowd kind of just went wild,” Lilah recalled of their duet together, before revealing that she was “so excited… in shock” and “very nervous and hyped up at the same time.”

During the surprise show in Arizona, Brown also brought his wife Katelyn Brown on stage to sing “Good As You” and share a dance with her.

Kane Brown recently gave fans yet another taste of his much-anticipated new album, Different Man, with the release of his new pop radio single, “Grand.” Co-written by Brown, Kameron Alexander and Mike Posner and produced by Andrew Goldstein, the track is one of 17 songs that will appear on the new project.

Releasing on September 9, Different Man will also include his current Top-5-and-climbing hit single “Like I Love Country Music,” as well as “Whiskey Sour,” “One Mississippi,” and “Leave You Alone.”

Different Man follows Brown’s second studio album, 2018’s Experiment. In August 2020, Brown released his ACM-nominated EP, Mixtape Vol. 1, which included several hit singles such as “Cool Again,” “Worldwide Beautiful” “Worship You” and his Top 40 radio single, “Be Like That” featuring Khalid and Swae Lee.

Later this year, Brown will embark on a massive international tour, dubbed the Drunk or Dreaming Tour.

The trek will feature special guests Restless Road, Jessie James Decker, Blanco Brown and Chris Lane on select dates. Kicking off on September 17 in Melbourne, Australia, the tour will continue through Australia, New Zealand, Canada, UK, and Europe.

The Drunk or Dreaming Tour marks Brown’s first time touring in Australia and New Zealand, and his long-awaited return to Canada and Europe.
