Lauren Alaina is officially signed to Big Loud Records.
The Grand Ole Opry member and platinum-selling recording artist took to social media on Monday morning (July 25) to share the exciting news with fans.
“Signed a very BIG and LOUD record deal. Thank you, @bigloud for being willing and LABEL to make music with me,” she wrote on Instagram. “Let’s goooooo!!!! 🖊”
Alaina joins Big Loud Record’s roster of chart-breaking hitmakers, including Chris Lane, ERNEST, HARDY, Jake Owen, Morgan Wallen, Mackenzie Porter, Lily Rose, Larry Fleet and more.
“We feel like Lauren is absolutely one of the best vocalists, male or female, in this town,” Big Loud CEO/Partner Seth England told Billboard exclusively. “Certainly, she’s had success, but we humbly think she has barely scratched the surface of what we think we can do together. Lauren Alaina deserves to be, in my opinion, on the same pedestal as Carrie Underwood, and it’s our job to help her find that mode.”
England also revealed that Alaina’s fans can expect a new project, produced by Joey Moi, from her later this year.
The Georgia native told Billboard that Big Loud Record is her “dream label,” before sharing, “I really want to tap into my country roots. I don’t think people remember like how Southern I am… I’m a country girl through and through.”
“I got a label that matches my personality: big, loud, and country,” Alaina also told the outlet.
Before signing with Big Loud, Big Loud labelmates HARDY, Chris Lane and Morgan Wallen offered Alaina a few words of encouragement.
“[Lane] goes, ‘You have to do this. They will kill it for you,’” Alaina recalled. “I got to chat with Hardy and with Morgan and they all were really excited for me to be over there and super encouraging. Morgan said something really sweet: He said, ‘You have a really big place in this format and I think they’re gonna help you claim it.”
Alaina went on to tell the outlet that she is excited for what’s to come over the course of the next ten years of her career and life.
“(I want to) make music that I’m really proud of with a team that I’m really proud of,” she said. “I want to do as much as I can do in the next 10 years. And I’d probably like to also get married and have some kids. So, I want to be able to balance all of that in the next 10 years. I think it’s gonna be the biggest 10-year span of my life so far.”
Most recently, Alaina shared a duet with her now labelmate, Chris Lane. Together, the pair reimagined King Harvest’s 1973 hit “Dancin’ In The Moonlight.”
The news comes three months after Alaina announced her departure from her longtime record label after nearly 11 years.
During her time with the label, Alaina released two EPs, including Getting Good (2020), Getting Over Him (2020), as well as three full length albums, Wildflower (2011), Road Less Traveled (2017), Sitting Pretty On Top of the World (2021).
The powerhouse vocalist quickly became Nashville’s go-to duet partner, recording collaborations with artists such as Chris Young, Dustin Lynch, Jon Pardi, BRELAND and more.
The award-winning country superstar has gone on to earn numerous accolades as well as three No. 1 hits, including “Road Less Traveled,” her 6x Platinum duet with Kane Brown “What Ifs,” and “One Beer” with HARDY and Devin Dawson.
Alaina has also appeared on a variety of TV shows, including American Idol, Dancing With The Stars, as well as her recent appearance in CBS’ Beyond The Edge.
In addition to appearing in several TV shows, Alaina has also performed on several national television shows, including PBS’ A Capitol Fourth, The TODAY Show, ABC’s Good Morning America, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, ABC’s CMA Fest specials, CMA and ACM Awards, Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day halftime performance, MLB’s World Series national anthem (Game 5, 2021) and more.
In 2021, Alaina’s career soared to new heights with the release of her inspirational book, Getting Good At Being You. She also fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a Grand Ole Opry member when her friend and fellow country star Trisha Yearwood invited her to join the coveted institution.
Additionally, the 27-year-old wrapped up her massive headlining Top of The World Tour, with special guest Spencer Crandall, earlier this year.
