Sugarland will reunite at the 2024 CMT Music Awards on Sunday, April 7, where they will deliver a world premiere performance of a new collaboration alongside Little Big Town.

Sugarland To Perform Alongside Little Big Town

This performance will mark the first time Sugarland has performed at the CMT Music Awards together since 2011. Sugarland and Little Big Town last shared the CMT Music Awards stage together 15 years ago, where they were joined by Jake Owen for a rousing rendition of “Life In a Northern Town.”

Over the years, the GRAMMY award-winning duo, composed of Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush, have earned 19 nominations and secured 4 victories at the CMT Music Awards. The group won their first belt buckle for “Breakthrough Video of the Year” with their chart-topping hit “Baby Girl” in 2005.

Sugarland’s memorable show performances include a surprise performance with B-52s for a lively rendition of “Love Shack” (2009), a moving performance of “Stand Up” that called attention to American Red Cross Tornado Relief efforts and paid tribute to the victims of devastating tornadoes that struck the U.S. earlier that year (2011) and their triumphant return as a duo with a performance of their hit single “Babe” (2018).

In addition to Sugarland’s success, Jennifer Nettles was also recognized at the 2020 CMT Music Awards with the inaugural CMT Equal Play Award, which honors “her passionate advocacy and support of women in the music industry, LGBTQ+ community and other underrepresented groups,” according to a press release.
