2024 CMT Music Awards: Bailey Zimmerman, Lainey Wilson, Keith Urban & More among Performance Lineup

Hosted by Kelsea Ballerini, the 2024 CMT Music Awards will take place at Moody Center in Austin, Texas, on Sunday, April 7 and will air live on CBS at 8/7c.

The first round of performers set to light up Austin, Texas for the upcoming 2024 CMT Music Awards have been revealed. On Tuesday (Mar. 19), Country Music Television (CMT) announced its initial performance lineup.

CMT Music Awards Performance Lineup

Jelly Roll, Bailey Zimmerman, Keith Urban, Lainey WilsonSam Hunt and host Kelsea Ballerini are set to take to the stage for performances you don’t want to miss.

Bailey Zimmerman

Bailey Zimmerman will take a break from his sold-out headlining tour to grace the CMT Music Awards stage with the debut TV performance of his current single, “Where It Ends.” He is also vying for his first-ever CMT belt buckle for “Male Video of The Year” for “Religiously.”

Jelly Roll

Jelly Roll dominated the 2023 show with his first major award show performance and win, ultimately becoming the night’s most winningest artist, taking home a total of 3 trophies. Now, he is set to return to the coveted awards show stage to deliver a show-stopping performance. The genre-bending superstar is also a leading nominee with 3 nods, including his first chance at taking home the night’s biggest award for “Video of the Year.”

Keith Urban

With a total of 9 career CMT Music Award wins, Keith Urban will dominate the stage for a landmark 20th performance – marking the highest number of appearance in the show’s history! He will deliver an electrifying, world premiere rendition of “Straight Line,” the debut single from his forthcoming 12th studio album.

Lainey Wilson

Fresh off her first-ever GRAMMY Award win, Lainey Wilson will continue her record-setting year with a return to the CMT stage and show viewers why “Country’s Cool Again” with an unforgettable performance of her latest single at Country radio. Wilson is again tied for the most nominations of the night and will compete for 3 more awards, including the night’s most coveted category, “Video of the Year.”

Sam Hunt

While in the midst of his arena-headlining Outskirts Tour, 9x CMT nominee Sam Hunt will take a pause from the road to debut a brand-new song on the CMT Music Awards stage.

Kelsea Ballerini

Kelsea Ballerini will take a brief break from her hosting duties to command viewers attention with a dazzling performance.

Who Is Nominated For A CMT Music Award?

Earlier this month, nominations for 2024 CMT Music Awards were unveiled, with Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson and Megan Moroney leading nominations with 3 nods each.

The first round of nominations for Video Of The Year includes a whopping 16 acts, ranging from rising stars to well established superstars. The Video Of The Year category includes first-time nominees Jelly Roll, Jordan Davis and Parmalee, as well as Kane Brown, who took home the honor last year for “Thank God” with his wife, Katelyn Brown, and will vie for back-to-back titles this year with Mickey Guyton for their collaboration, “Nothing Compares To You.”

The nominations also feature 14 first-time nominees, including breakthrough artists to out-of-genre superstars. Amber Riley, Ashley Cooke, Bret Michaels, Chayce Beckham, Hozier, Koe Wetzel, Stephen Wilson Jr., Tyler Childers, Warren Zeiders, Zach Bryan, as well as four members of the 2024 CMT Next Women of Country: Anne Wilson, Ella Langley, The Castellows, and Tigirlily Gold (2x) are among those nominated for the first time.
