Morgan Wallen admits he can’t wait to hit the road to see fans!

On Monday, May 24, the country superstar shared an Instagram story thanking fans for his three Billboard Music Award wins and admitted that he can’t wait to get back out on the road to see the loyal fans. He shared the message overtop of a graphic that read Billboard Music Awards 2021 Winner as well as the three categories he won awards in, including Top Country Artist, Top Country Male Artist and Top Country Album for his chart-topping project, Dangerous: The Double Album.

In addition to winning three awards, Wallen was also nominated for Top Song Sales Artist and had 2 nods for Top Country Song for “Chasing You” and “More Than My Hometown.”

“Best fans in the world,” Wallen captioned the Instagram story. “Can’t wait to get out on the road and see y’all”

The “Wasted On You” singer was forbidden by Dick Clark Productions (DCP) to have participation within the 2021 Billboard Music Awards ceremony and was unable to accept the awards as DCP recently shared a statement that said the BBMAs will “not be including him [Wallen] on the show in any capacity (performing, presenting, accepting).”

“It is heartening and encouraging to hear that Morgan is taking steps in his anti-racist journey and starting to do some meaningful work,” a statement from DCP continued. “We plan to evaluate his progress and will consider his participation in future shows.”

Additionally, Wallen recently shared a song he co-wrote alongside Miranda Lambert and Nicolle Gaylon called “Thought You Should Know.” A deeply personal new song that comes in the form of a phone call to his mom, Lesli Wallen.

Wallen’s awards win and performance of “Thought You Should Know” came just days after he returned to the stage for the first time since early February, popping up at Kid Rock’s Big Honky Tonk & Steakhouse on Wednesday evening (May 19). His surprise appearance included performances of his chart-topping single, “Whiskey Glasses,” and the fan-favorites “Sand In My Boots” and “Wasted On You” from his multi-week No.1 album, Dangerous: The Double Album.
