Blake Shelton performed his latest single “Minimum Wage” during night one of the two night season finale of The Voice.

Surrounded by a makeshift gas station and car wash, the country superstar brought his latest single to life on Monday (May 24) night.

Watch his full performance below.

The track was co-written by Nicolle Galyon, Corey Crowder and Jesse Frasure and builds on the foundation that love is priceless.

“I heard ‘Minimum Wage’ over a year ago and connected with it immediately,” Shelton explained. “It’s the timeless truth that you don’t need a lot of money or possessions, you just need love.”

“I relate so much to the lyrics of this song. I have a lot of great memories playing dive bars in Nashville and then driving back to Oklahoma to play a gig,” Shelton added. “I gravitate toward songs that feel like the stories of where I’ve been and where I am currently in my life, and I’ve got a lot of happiness in joy in my life these days.”

“Minimum Wage” is the lead single to the superstar’s latest album, Body Language, and follows Shelton’s back-to-back chart-topping duets with his soon-to-be wife, Gwen Stefani, including “Nobody But You” and “Happy Anywhere.”

Hosted by Carson Daly, the two-night season finale of The Voice aired live Monday and Tuesday, May 24-25, at 8/7c on NBC.
