Miranda Lambert and her husband Brendan McLoughlin are making sure their furry friends are being taken care of this holiday season!
The country superstar and former NYPD officer took to social media on Wednesday (Dec. 21) to share a video of themselves shopping for their four-legged friends in need.
“Shelter pets and shelter workers need a little extra love during the holidays too, 💖🐶” Lambert captioned the clip. “Thanks @tractorsupply for helping spread the love!”

The video opens with Lambert and McLoughlin standing side-by-side in front of a Tractor Supply Company, the exclusive retailer for Lambert’s MuttNation pet line and pet foods, where they brought food and treats as well as toys, leashes/collars, sweaters and beds for animals in need.
“We are at Tractor Supply in Franklin, Tennessee. We are doing our second annual Mutt shop for MuttNation,” Lambert explained in the clip. “We’re going to go buy all the MuttNation toys and beds that we can find and a bunch of food and treats and take it to the shelters for Christmas.”
Lambert and McLoughlin are then seen filling up their shopping carts with all the necessary MuttNation supplies in the clip before the beloved couple hand-delivered them to several shelters in Tennessee, including Williamson County Animal Center, Metro Nashville Animal Care & Control and Nashville Humane Association.
“This is the perfect time of year to visit your local animal shelter and to thank them for the great work they do all year long, helping the pets and the communities where we live,” Lambert added. “These three shelters have been important local partners to MuttNation and to me, personally, and I just wanted to show my appreciation.”
The clip concluded with Lambert holding a puppy as she said “Merry Christmas!”

After Lambert visited the three shelters, Tractor Supply Company surprised her and MuttNation with $5,000 in gift cards to spread the joy to an additional five shelters and rescues that help senior pets and pets with special needs as part of the MuttNation Love Harder initiative.
“During this season of giving, all of us at Tractor Supply are thrilled to join with Miranda and MuttNation to support animal shelters and the wonderful work they do in caring for our four-legged friends,” said Kimberley Gardiner, SVP and chief marketing officer for Tractor Supply Company. “Supporting the communities we serve – not only for our customers but also for our pets – is at the core of everything we do at Tractor Supply. Miranda and her team’s commitment to the mission of caring for pets is just remarkable, and we couldn’t ask for a better partner in this worthy cause.”
The five shelters receiving $1,000 Tractor Supply gift cards are: SNARR Northeast (Special Needs Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation) (Brewster, N.Y.); Frankie & Andy’s Place (Winder, Ga.), New Leash on Life (Lebanon, Tenn.); Muttville Senior Dog Rescue (San Francisco, Calif.), and Sunflower Sanctuary (Tijares, N.M.).
Lambert later shared a post that featured 11 dogs in need of homes this holiday season at several shelters in Nashville, including Amsie & Ava Grace, Sally, Larry, and Paisley at Williams County AC as well as Cadbury and Albuquerque at Metro Animal Care and Control. The other pups seeking forever homes are Daisy, Miranda, Jack, Rosa, who are currently housed at the Nashville Humane Association.
“These babies all need homes!!! If you’re in the Nashville area please check them out,” Lambert captioned the photos alongside a heart emoji.

Founded by Lambert and her mom Bev in 2009, MuttNation Foundation is a donation-supported 501c(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to promote and facilitate the adoption of shelter pets, encourage spay & neuter for all pets, and educate the public about the importance and beneficial impact of these actions. MuttNation is also committed to providing monetary, hands on, and transport assistance during times of emergency and disaster.
MuttNation also encourages everyone who has the time to volunteer – and, of course, to foster or adopt from their local shelter, too!
Last year, Lambert also went to Tractor Supply to buy thousands of dollars worth of goods for pups in local shelters. The food, toys and supplies were then also hand-delivered by Lambert to shelters, including Williamson County Animal Center, Metro Nashville Animal Care & Control and Nashville Humane Association.
“This time of year, it’s so important to remember shelter animals everywhere. These three shelters have been important local partners to MuttNation over the past several years, and we all know how tough it’s been for them,” Lambert previously shared. “I just wanted show my appreciation.”
In addition to Lambert’s generosity in 2021, Tractor Supply Company also joined Lambert and MuttNation to give away $1,000 gift cards to 10 shelters and rescues that help senior pets and/or pets with special needs.
The 10 shelters/rescues included gifted $1,000 gift cards from Tractor Supply included: Blind Dog Rescue Alliance (Boothwyn, PA), Deaf Dogs Rock (Salem VA), Gray Muzzle (Raleigh, NC), Heath’s Haven Rescue (Post Falls, ID), Muttville Senior Dog Rescue (San Francisco, CA), Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary (Mt. Juliet, TN), Pets With Disabilities (Frederick, MD), Rolling Dog Farm (Lancaster, NH), The Sanctuary For Senior Dogs (Cleveland, OH) and Vintage Paws (Sarasota, FL).
“MuttNation’s Love Harder campaign to raise awareness for dogs that are less frequently adopted has been an inspiration to all of us at Tractor Supply. We share Miranda’s affection for all shelter animals and wanted to support her efforts during this special time of year,” Tractor Supply Company’s Nicole Logan, Vice President of Divisional Merchandise Management, said at the time.

Lambert is an avid animal lover and advocate for animal shelters and has been known to be very generous to her furry friends.
In February of 2022, the “If I Was A Cowboy” singer donated $20,000 to 20 shelters who each received $1,000 on behalf of the caring people who gave their time and their hearts to these animals over this past year.
The country hitmaker began volunteering at animal shelters as a teenager, and currently has five rescue dogs, several cats, rabbits and horses of her own.
“Shelter pets – especially the ones that are hardest to get adopted – and the people who care for them, have always had my heart. Valentine’s Day gives me one more chance to show just how special they all are to me,” Lambert previously shared.
