Nashville based rapper turned country star Jelly Roll is celebrating the holidays in a rather unconventional way this season. He stars in a new music video with his wife, Bunnie XO (Bunnie DeFord), for “Bring Your Package to Me (Christmas Screw),” a tune that parodies Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”

The video and song are extremely PG-13, as Bunnie XO describes what she wants for Christmas this year. As the title suggests, it’s pretty intimate.

Check out the music video below.

The couple have two children from previous relationships, and one makes a cameo. Jelly Roll’s daughter Bailee Ann appears at the beginning of the music video sitting at the kitchen table with Jelly Roll and Bunnie as she realizes what’s about to happen with the performance.

The couple made their red carpet debut in November of 2022. Jelly Roll and Bunnie tied the knot on August 31, 2016, and they recently walked the red carpet at the CMA Awards together for the first time. They certainly stood out among the country music crowd. Speaking to Taste of Country on the red carpet, Jelly Roll certainly recognized that.

“My first CMA, this is crazy,” he said. “I can’t believe I’m here. I’m waiting on security to escort me out at any minute. My wife is gonna look like a human Barbie doll. She has got the most beautiful, see-through, pink floral dress I’ve ever seen. It’s the sexiest thing with the gloves. So I’m gonna wear all black, like Johnny Cash, baby. I’m fixing to look like an over-sized Merle Haggard. It’s gonna be awesome.”

It was quite a year for Jelly Roll, and there’s much to celebrate this holiday season. His track “Son of a Sinner” successfully crossed the rapper into the country music space, seeing him receive tons of mainstream country radio play. A native of Antioch, Tennessee just south of Music City, the 38-year-old built a very loyal local following for years before finding a path into the spotlight of the scene that his hometown built.

Recently, he released a powerful followup single titled “She.” The track shines a spotlight on drug addiction, telling the story of a woman that is trapped in a cycle of abuse. It’s about the heroin and fentanyl epidemic that has damaged lives across the country, and “she” is the elephant in the room – the drug itself. In 2021, more Americans died from drug addiction than in any previous year.

Jelly Roll’s massive 2022 isn’t just a crossover into mainstream country radio. He’s also enjoyed a lot of success on the rock radio charts as lines between genre continue to be blurred. “Dead Man Walking” actually reached number one on the format. On December 9, he sold out Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, a monumental moment in the career of any artist, but an especially surreal and coveted one for a native son.

Proceeds from the show benefited the creation of a recording studio at Davidson County’s juvenile detention center. It’s a place that Jelly Roll once served time himself, and he’s worked hard to help at-risk youth in his hometown.

He’s already adding festival dates for 2023, and he certainly stands out among his peers on those bills. But as a longtime fabric of the Nashville community, the move has felt natural.

Additionally, Jelly Roll recently released a brand-new song “NEED A FAVOR.”
