Kane Brown is currently hard at work on his upcoming new album, an album that he explained will be “the best album” he’s released so far.

In an interview with Good Morning America on Tuesday, March 9, the country superstar gave an update on his forthcoming new release, in which he shared that he has some big anthems and movie style songs on the project.

“I’ve been listening to a lot of music, different music recently, so the album I’m really excited about,” Brown explained. “We have some big anthem, movie style songs that’s going to be on there.”

Brown shared that the new album will have several classic country sounds as well as some honky tonk vibe songs.

“We also have some different old school kind of sounds,” the “Be Like That” singer added. “We have a Sam Cooke kind of vibe, and then we have like a you walk into a saloon kind of vibe song that I’m really pumped about. … We’ve only tracked four of them so far, so I’m still trying to out write everything that I have, and I’m just trying to make this one of the best albums — if not the best album that I’ve released so far.”

Previously, the superstar revealed that the highly-anticipated duet featuring his wife Katelyn will also appear on the forthcoming record and now the singer shared a few additional details on the duet that Brown said will tell the story of their relationship.

“We just kind of wrote a song about our background, about how we connected, how we met,” Brown said. “I wrote my verse by myself, and then the other writers wrote the chorus. So then when I brought it into her, and she listened to it and just heard the story about my side of the story of how we met, she loved it,” he continued. “So it’ll be cool coming together.”

The yet-to-be announce new album will follow Brown’s latest EP, Mixtape Vol. 1, which was released on August 14, 2021 via RCA Nashville/Zone 4. The EP has gone on to achieve many of accolades and several hit singles including “Cool Again,” “Worldwide Beautiful” “Worship You” and his Top 40 radio single, “Be Like That” featuring Khalid and Swae Lee.
