Kane Brown shared a few new details about his forthcoming new album.

During his Friday (Feb. 26) morning Twitch livestream, before heading to the studio, the “Be Like That” singer gave a few updates on his upcoming project including how many songs will appear on the record, his duet with his wife Katelyn and more.

He shared that he is “recording the next album” and has to get “two more songs done today” in the studio.

One fan asked how many songs would appear on the upcoming record, which Brown replied “hopefully, a lot, we’ll see, but I want it to be the best project I put out so far.”

Brown also confirmed that his duet with his wife Katelyn will appear on his forthcoming new album.

Yeah, the duet will be on the new album, I’m excited about that,” Brown said.

The duet is entitled “Mad At This World” and Brown previously shared that the duet is “beautifully written,” and that it “immediately caught” their attention when they heard it, and they just knew that it was “perfect” for them.

The hitmaker also shared a few additional details about the duet, which Brown said will tell the story of he and Katelyn’s relationship.

“We just kind of wrote a song about our background, about how we connected, how we met,” Brown said. “I wrote my verse by myself, and then the other writers wrote the chorus. So then when I brought it into her, and she listened to it and just heard the story about my side of the story of how we met, she loved it,” he continued. “So it’ll be cool coming together.”

The singer previously explained the overall theme of the song, saying that “it’s basically saying, ‘how could I be mad at this world when this world gave me you?”

Brown also teased fans saying that he was in the studio on Thursday (Feb. 25) for six hours and recorded two songs, one of which he says is “his favorite song” ever.

The yet-to-be announced project will follow Brown’s ACM-nominated EP, Mixtape Vol. 1, which was released on August 14, 2021, via RCA Nashville/Zone 4. The EP has gone on to earn several hit singles including “Cool Again,” “Worldwide Beautiful” “Worship You” and his Top 40 radio single, “Be Like That” featuring Khalid and Swae Lee.
