Jason Aldean and his wife have the potential to be a powerful country music duo, if they ever decide they want to record a song together. According to Aldean, his wife Brittany Aldean has some talent of her own that she hasn’t shown off to the world in a while.
A recent video that surfaced online showcased the couple performing a karaoke duet. This prompted a question in a recent interview with Evan Paul of Taste Of Country Nights. Paul asked the “Trouble With A Heartbreak” singer if he would ever be up to recording a real duet with Brittany sometime in the future.
He admitted that he might be up for a duet with his wife if she is, because she is actually a “really great singer.”
The footage showed the Aldeans on stage during a family member’s birthday celebration. Together at The Graduates’ Cross-Eyed Critters animatronic karaoke bar, they sang Blake Shelton’s “Lonely Tonight,” a duet that originally features Ashley Monroe of The Pistol Annies.
“I don’t know, maybe, you know, the funny thing was her and I did that, it was my aunt’s birthday party and my aunt came into town, and we had a big birthday party for her here and that was like one night at her birthday party and then that video came out like a month later or something,” Aldean shared. “It was like way after the fact, but Britt’s a great singer.”

The Georgia native and country hitmaker continued, “She actually is a really great singer, and so I don’t know, I think if something came along… I think she’s a little… I think she would entertain it, but I think she’s a little shy with it. I don’t know, I never say never and like I said, she’s a really good singer, so I think if something came along that made sense that I felt like would she would kind of shine in it, it’d definitely be something to consider.”
The 2022 Country Radio Broadcasters’ Artist Humanitarian Award receipt is no stranger to recording duets with female country artists. In the past, he has collaborated with Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson and more.
In 2012, before she married Aldean, Brittany auditioned for the 11th season of American Idol and made it through to the Hollywood round. Unfortunately, she was eliminated shortly after and was not given the chance to perform in front of the live audience.
Since then, she has not kept up with her journey to become an artist, but she has excelled at many other things in her life, including becoming a mom to her two children, Memphis and Navy, and creating her own clothing line with Aldean’s sister.
Together, her and Kasi Rosa Wicks launched their line of clothing in November 2021. They decided that a portion of the proceeds from the sweatshirts and t-shirts would be donated to support military families through the Special Forces Charitable Trust.
Aldean is currently preparing for the release of the second half of his double album, Macon, Georgia. Georgia is set to drop in just a few months, on April 22, but Aldean has already released two tracks off the album, “Trouble With a Heartbreak” and “Whiskey Me Away.”
