Bailey Zimmerman revealed that he cried when he first found out that Morgan Wallen is taking him on his upcoming Stadium trek, dubbed One Night At A Time World Tour.

The fast-rising viral hitmaker made an appearance Tuesday morning (Dec. 27) on Good Morning America (GMA) to perform his latest single “Rock And A Hard Place” as well as discuss his upcoming performance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest as well as the 2023 Wallen tour.

“It’s so insane man, it’s like two years ago I couldn’t afford my truck payment and now I’m like on TV. It’s just like… I’m just blessed. It’s crazy,” Zimmerman admitted to the GMA hosts.

Zimmerman then detailed the moment he found out that he would be joining Wallen on the road in 2023.

“I played my first arena show with Brooks & Dunn and afterwards I got in the car to go to Chicago and my managers called me and they’re like ‘hey, we got some crazy stuff,” Zimmerman explained. “We had to turn down this one tour,’ and it was like one of my favorite artists and I was like ‘why? Why’d we turn it down?’ He said ‘because Morgan Wallen’s gonna take you on tour next year.’ And I just started crying… My whole band, we started crying because it’s like man, this is why we work so hard and we work day and night writing these songs and doing all this stuff. So, it’s gonna be a crazy year. I’m really excited.”

During his appearance on Good Morning America, the 2022 Music Mayhem Artist to Watch also perform his latest single “Rock And A Hard Place.”

“Rock And A Hard Place” appears on Zimmerman’s debut album, Leave The Light On, which quickly became the biggest streaming country debut of all time and the most-streamed debut in any genre this year.

The 9-track project also features his first-ever chart-topping hit, “Fall In Love,” a song that made history as the fastest debut to reach No. 1 since 2015.

“Not only that, but it’s the fastest debut to reach number 1 since 2015 🤯 ” Zimmerman previously wrote on Facebook when he found out about his first No. 1 hit. “Big thanks to all of y’all that have made this possible, without every single one of you, I wouldn’t be the man I am today.🔥 Also, huge thanks to my radio people out there that have believed in me and this song, grateful for y’all ❤️ Cheers to 2023🥂”

Morgan Wallen, who co-wrote a tune with Zimmerman called “Trainwreck,” previously praised the 22-year-old genre-bending artist while co-hosting Country Countdown USA with Lon Helton.

“This is a kid, I think that, just with the way he’s rising and the way he’s blowing up that he’s someone who will probably need that,” Wallen told Helton.

At the time, Wallen also said that if Zimmerman ever needed advice or someone to chat with, he is there for him.

“I told him that I’d be that for him if he wants it. It’s cool just to see a little small-town kid, you know, kind of, like myself, come and start making some noise in the town and all around the country. I’m proud of him and looking forward to seeing what he does.”

Zimmerman has also credited Wallen as one of his biggest musical influences.

“Honestly, He’s a big influence on me, and I think he’s a great dude,” Zimmerman previously told Spotify.

He also told Billboard that he would love to collaborate with Wallen, saying, “that would be really sick because our voices have a similar tone. That’s like a dream collab, but we’ll see.”

The viral hitmaker is gearing up for a massive 2023 as he prepares to hit the road with Morgan Wallen on his One Night At A Time World Tour.

Zimmerman will serve as support on every date of Wallen’s massive 2023 World Tour, which will visit 4 countries and 2 continents. The international leg of the One Night At A Time World Tour will begin in Auckland, NZ at Spark Arena on March 15, 2023.
