Gabby Barrett enlisted her husband, Cade Foehner, and two children, Baylah May, 2, and Augustine Boone, 8 months, to co-star in her “Glory Days” music video.
Directed by Alexa Campbell and co-produced by Barrett and Taylor Vermillion, the music video showcases a beautiful blend of nostalgia and celebration, capturing the feeling of treasured memories and the joy of embracing the present.
With her family by her side, Gabby Barrett creates a visual representation of the song’s message, reminding fans of the importance of cherishing the moments that shape our lives.
“What you see literally are my ‘Glory Days’ right now,” Barrett told CMT. “It’s sitting on the porch and reading the Bible with my husband or rocking my baby to sleep. This video perfectly brings the lyrics to life. Just filming with our kids for the first time is something I’ll never forget. We had so much fun during the water balloon fight and were absolutely drenched after filming. The whole shoot we couldn’t stop laughing! We can all get so caught up in living for the future that we forget to cherish the moments we have right now. I hope that’s the takeaway, to be grateful for what you have.”
Throughout the clip, Barrett enjoys memorable moments with her family on a picturesque farm.
“Seeing my sweet family in this video just melts my heart,” Barrett added. “I feel so unbelievably blessed.”

“Glory Days”
Out now, the anthemic song mirrors Barrett’s real life as she sings about the things that make her life so full, like her family and her faith. Throughout the lyrics, she promises to live life in the moment and never take things for granted because she recognizes that she’s living out the “Glory Days” right now.
“This is as good as it gets, I don’t know what I would change/ I love this life that we live, I love that smile on your face/ No, we ain’t gotta look back at all those pictures in frames/ And wish it’d all stay the same/ ‘Cause right here, right now I say, ‘These are the glory days,’” the American Idol alum sings on the chorus.
Barrett co-wrote “Glory Days” with Emily Weisband, Seth Mosley, and James McNair, and co-produced the track with Ross Copperman.
Inspiration Behind Gabby Barrett’s New Song, “Glory Days”
During a recent interview on Today’s Country Radio with Kelleigh Bannen on Apple Music Country, Barrett shared the inspiration behind the song.
“I wrote [‘Glory Days’] with a couple of friends and we’re just talking about all the life that I’ve kind of went through within the last couple years. I think it’s pretty abnormal to what normally happens at this age for certain people, 23, 2 kids, and all the things happening with music. And I’ve been married for four years,” she explained.
“So normally those times when you’re in the trenches a little bit with kids and just the days are long, but the years feel fast. Those are the times that you look back on per se. And I just remember my parents kind of saying, oh, those are the glory days. Those are the good old days. And so I was like, well, I’m in my glory days right now.”
Sophomore Album
“Glory Days” is the first track from Gabby Barrett’s forthcoming, yet-to-be announced sophomore album, which she is co-producing alongside Ross Copperman.
While Barrett has yet to announce a release date for the project, she did reveal that it is “almost finished” and that it is expected to debut later this year in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“Hopefully, like, early fall is the goal,” Barrett told the outlet.
Barrett also told ET that her new album will include more mature lyrics that she truly connects with.
“I’m way more intentionally connected to these songs than my first album, I would say. Every song moves me in a certain way, and it’s just me grown up. The past years that I’ve lived, I’ve lived a lot of years in a short amount of time. It’s grown up, it’s fresh, and I’m hoping people really can resonate with it.”
Luke Combs Co-Wrote A Song On The Project
Earlier this year, while co-hosting Country Countdown USA alongside Lon Helton, Barrett opened up about a song on the new album that was written by Luke Combs.
“I’m a big fan of his. He pitched me a song not too long ago,” Gabby Barrett explained. “As soon as I heard it, I was like it really strikes a chord with me. I’m definitely gonna put it on my next album coming out later this year. He was very adamant about the song and me recording it. I think it’s an awesome song, and it’s coming out this year.”
Miranda Lambert Is Also Involved With Barrett’s New Album
Combs isn’t the only artist that Barrett will be collaborating with on her new album. She also shared that Miranda Lambert had a hand in co-writing a song for the project.
In an interview with Audacy’s Katie & Company, Barrett shared, “I wrote another song on the album that was written with Miranda Lambert. That’s very fun. And there are so many people in the Nashville community that I haven’t gotten to write with that I did this time around. So there’s just a lot to look forward to.”
“Miranda’s awesome. She’s just super laid back and just so chill and nice to be around and very real of a person, which is really nice to see in the industry, especially as a female being very real and not about the drama and the jealousy and this and that,” she added during a recent Q&A with fans on Instagram Live. “So, the song is more of a slower song, and it will be about Texas. That’s all I can say.”
Will A Duet With Her Husband Cade Foehner Appear On The New Album?
Barrett also hinted that a duet with her husband Cade Foehner may also appear on the project.
“Probably, there’s a good chance [of Cade and I are releasing a duet]. There have been a lot of requests for that,” Barrett continued. “Maybe on album two this year. You never know. I’ll let you know!”
She previously teased a duet with her husband during a discussion with Music Mayhem in 2020. At the time, she explained, “I can definitely see us doing a song together. We’ve gotten requests from so many people to do that… It has been fans from Idol and fans of our marriage and our relationship so definitely. I would love to and we may or may not already have something in the works for that in the future now. So, yes!”
Barrett and Foehner, who is Barrett’s husband and lead guitarist, have never released a duet together. However, the couple have performed as well as written songs together. Foehner contributed to several songs on Barrett’s debut album, Goldmine, including “Got Me,” which he co-wrote. Cade Foehner’s outstanding guitar solos are also featured on Barrett’s song, “Footprints On The Moon.”
In addition, Cade Foehner also often serves as Barrett’s muse for songwriting. Barrett puts her and Foehner’s picture-perfect love story on full-display in songs such as “Thank God,” “Write It On My Heart,” “Strong,” “Hall Of Fame,” “Goldmine,” “The Good Ones” and her current single “Pick Me Up.”
New Project Follows Her Record-Breaking Debut Album, Goldmine
The Pennsylvania native’s forthcoming album will follow her record-breaking debut album, Goldmine, that spawned chart-topping hits such as “The Good Ones” and her debut single “I Hope.”
Gabby Barrett released a deluxe edition of Goldmine, which featured four new songs, including “Pick Me Up,” “Never Get It Back,” “The Good Ones (Wedding Version),” and a cover of Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You” in addition to the 13 original tracks.
