Scotty McCreery has been enjoying being a first-time father to his son, Avery (full name is Merrick Avery McCreery), whom he shares with his wife, Gabi McCreery. So much so that he has been actively sharing his sweet child’s milestone moments on social media.
One of those moments happens to be Avery’s very first Christmas.
McCreery recently took to Instagram to mark the special occasion with a McCreery family Christmas card.
“Favorite Christmas cards yet😁 @minted🎄🎅🏻🎄,” McCreery captioned a festive set of photos, which includes the front and backsides of the card featuring him with Avery, Gabi, and the family Labrador Retriever, Moose.

The holiday card also included Avery’s date of birth, reading October 24, 2022, on the back side of the card and his birth weight of 7 lbs and 13 oz.
“Sending love from our family to yours this Christmas season! Love, Scotty, Gabi, Avery & Moose,” the message on the card reads.
Ahead of the Christmas celebrations, McCreery opened up about spending the festive season with his baby boy, telling Music Mayhem, “I’m excited for me to go through the holidays with Avery. I think it will be so fun.”
Aside from soaking up the holidays at home with his family – and enjoying a Cajun Christmas with them in New Orleans – McCreery’s schedule has been packed with multiple performances.
While most artists were off the road this season, he continued to stay busy, playing a handful of holiday-themed sets, including a few shows with Lee Brice at The Murphy Arts District in El Dorado, Arkansas.
“We’re doing some acoustic shows, which will be different and fun,” the Season 10 American Idol champ, who also wrapped up a Christmas show at the Grand Ole Opry earlier in the month, previously said.
And it turns out McCreery won’t be slowing down anytime soon. Come New Year, he will take the road for his 2023 tour of the same name.
“A lot to look forward to going into 2023,” the North Carolina native, who in 2022 celebrated his fifth consecutive 5 No. 1 chart-topper with his RIAA Gold-certified smash “Damn Strait,” said. “[We’re] bringing a baby on the road and getting him used to the lifestyle. Like it or not, [I’m] going to be a road daddy for a while, so hopefully he loves it.”
Yep! McCreery will be sharing even more new moments as he plans to have Avery in tow during his tour. And, it seems the plan has been laid out for some time since he’s prepared for precious cargo on board.
“Next year, we’re bringing out a baby bus,” McCreery added. “So he will be with me out there most of the dates. That will be a fun new way to do the road. I’ve kind of had my system down pat for 10 years now. So, that will be a little change, but a great one.”
