Miranda Lambert was “blown away” by Carrie Underwood‘s stunning REFLECTION Las Vegas residency. The country superstars supported each other by attending their respective Sin City residencies. Lambert was present at Underwood’s REFLECTION residency at Resorts World Theatre on December 6, while Underwood visited Lambert’s Velvet Rodeo residency at Bakkt Theater on December 3.

Lambert Attends “Icon” Carrie Underwood’s Las Vegas Residency

On Thursday (Dec. 7), Miranda Lambert took to social media to showcase her experience at the “Out Of This Truck” singer’s residency, which she gushed over. “Got to see @carrieunderwood in Vegas last night at her Reflection residency,” Lambert wrote. “This show is so well thought out and it is a perfect reflection of her and what a career she has built. The lights, fire, music, production, sparkle’s and most importantly that voice.”

The collection of images and videos featured a photo of Lambert, 40, and Underwood, 40, posed together backstage, as well as several live shots and video of Underwood performing, including her fiery performance of “Before He Cheats” and soaring performance of “How Great Thou Art.”

Lambert then went on to praise Carrie Underwood and their longstanding friendship.

“Carrie, you are an icon in every sense of the word. We’ve both been on this journey for 20 years and I’m proud of both of us for staying the course and dreamin’ big. Like you said, cheers to us and I’m proud to be in your corner,” Lambert continued. “Thanks for having me last night. Blown away. Literally. 😘 Also, y’all, last slide will take you to church! 🙌🙏”

“Cheers To Us For All We’ve Accomplished”

Carrie Underwood also shared the snapshot of her and Lambert to her social media, which she captioned, “We’ve both been at this thing for a while now… Seen a lot. Done a lot. Sang a lot. Through it all, it’s nice to know you’ve got great people in your corner! Thanks for coming to the show last night, Miranda! Cheers to Vegas and cheers to us for all we’ve accomplished and to whatever comes next! ❤️”

Underwood Attended And Gushed Over Lambert’s “Great Show”

A few days prior to Lambert’s visit, Underwood stopped by Bakkt Theater, formerly known as Zappos Theater, to check out the “If I Was A Cowboy” singer’s residency on Sunday, December 3.  Underwood documented the experience on her Instagram Story, beginning with a photo of Lambert’s stage, over which she declared, “Mama went out tonight!!!”

Carrie Underwood’s next snapshot was a photo of herself and Lambert backstage, which she captioned, “Just a couple country girls hanging out in Vegas.” The Oklahoma native followed with a series of videos from the show, including a clip of Lambert performing her song “Fastest Girl in Town.”

“Thanks for having us tonight @mirandalambert!” Underwood wrote. “Such a great show!”

Longstanding Friendship And Mutual Respect

For years, Underwood and Lambert have maintained a close friendship, extending to collaborations such as their song “Somethin’ Bad,” featured on Lambert’s 2014 album, Platinum. During the summer, Underwood, Underwood praised Lambert on her SiriusXM channel, Carrie’s Country, just before airing “Somethin’ Bad” on the channel.

“I have so much respect for [Miranda] and the things that she’s accomplished, the songs she writes, the songs she chooses. We’re sisters in this together, man,” Underwood said. “I hope she knows I’m always in her corner; I think she is always in mine. I’m proud to see us still kickin’ it after all these years.”

Underwood continued, “I love her and I really respect that she is who she is and has never deviated from that, and she’s never tried to fit anybody else’s box that they might try to put her in. She does what she wants. I respect that very much.”

Underwood also recently showcased her support for Lambert by posting to social media and raving over her first-ever book, Y’ALL EAT YET? Welcome to the Pretty B*tchin’ Kitchen. “Look what I just got! My tummy is excited!” Underwood wrote of the gift she received from Lambert, “Thanks, @mirandalambert, and congrats!!!”

“Iconic Voice”

Lambert has also publicly praised Underwood, gushing over her friend on social media in 2019 when Underwood was nominated for Entertainer of the Year at the CMA Awards.

“Carrie – The Entertainer Of The Year. Because… Currently being on tour with all female artists, I’ve been thinking a lot about all the work that goes into what we do,” Lambert captioned a pair of photos of herself and Underwood performing. “The most amazing job in the world. But it ain’t for the faint of heart”

“That iconic voice has been classin’ up our stages, charts and televisions for a decade and a half,” she wrote. “The Voice. The legs. The songs. The brand. The mom. The wife. The okie. The Jesus lover. The blonde bombshell that is Carrie. She blows me away every time I hear her sing [and] she never wavers in who she is or what she stands for. She has stayed true & pushed herself to be better. If you have never heard her sing ‘How Great Thou Art’ do yourself a favor and listen. I have her back in this picture, and I’ll always have her back. So for the sake of sequins, spanx and spray tans, take it home! You Carrie the torch!”
