Kane Brown achieved a significant career milestone, receiving a prestigious Diamond certification from the Recording Industry Association of America® (RIAA) for his multi-week, chart-topping breakout hit, “Heaven.” Brown’s “Heaven” is now the eighth country song in history to be certified Diamond by the RIAA. With the honor, Brown is also the first black artist in Country music to earn the certification with an original song.

Kane Brown’s Single “Heaven” Certified Diamond By RIAA

According to a press release, Brown’s “Heaven,” which was released in October 2017 on his self-titled album, Kane Brown, was certified Diamond by the RIAA on Thursday, December 7. A diamond certification signifies that the song or project has sold over 10,000,000 units.

“An incredible talent with 23 RIAA certified titles and accolade upon accolade across genres, today, we are thrilled to recognize Kane Brown’s first Diamond for his single ‘Heaven.’” RIAA COO Michele Ballantyne shared. “This enchanting hit has clearly struck a chord with fans – topping 10 million certified units! Congratulations to Kane, his creative partners and RCA Nashville team on this rare milestone.”

Brown’s “Heaven” joins Chris Stapleton (“Tennessee Whiskey”), Sam Hunt (“Body Like A Back Road”), Luke Combs (“Beautiful Crazy”), Darius Rucker (“Wagon Wheel”), Lady A (“Need You Now”), Lil Nas X feat. Billy Ray Cyrus (“Old Town Road”) and Florida Georgia Line (“Cruise”). It’s also worth noting that “Meant To Be” by Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha is also a diamond-selling track, however, it is classified as a pop song rather than a country song.

Luke Combs, Darius Rucker And More Surprise Kane Brown With The News

In honor of the milestone, fellow Diamond-selling artists Luke Combs, Hillary Scott of Lady A, Tyler Hubbard and Darius Rucker surprised Brown with the exciting news in a video message.

“Kane, what’s up man, It’s Luke Combs here, listen I heard that ‘Heaven’ has gone Diamond, not many people have done that,” Combs told the country hitmaker on the clip. “I just want to say welcome to the club man, super cool. Keep killin’ it man, you’ve always been awesome and let’s hang out sometime. Congrats again. See you buddy.”

“What’s up Kane, I just wanted to say congratulations buddy on the Diamond-certified song, ‘Heaven,’ that is such a huge achievement buddy, welcome to the Diamond club,” Hubbard said, to which Brown replied, “that’s awesome, I’ve been waiting!” Hubbard concluded, “It’s something to be proud of, dude. Congratulations, cheers, and here’s to some more diamonds. Let’s go!”

Hillary Scott then congratulated the “In The Air” singer on his achievement. “Your song ‘Heaven’ has obviously touched so many hearts. So many lives. Congratulations on this unbelievable milestone,” Scott shared with a smile.

“Welcome to the Diamond club man, congratulations brother,” Rucker exclaimed as the clip came to an end.

“Aw, that was awesome,” Brown shared of the clip, as the people off camera watching his raw reaction to the heartfelt message cheered.
