Kane Brown and wife Katelyn Brown share two daughters, Kingsley Rose, 4, and Kodi Jane, who turns two this month, and spending time with his family over the holidays isn’t something the country star takes for granted.

Loves Spending Time With His Family

In an interview with Billboard, Brown shared that he and his family “love being at home and getting a chance to recharge and really live in gratitude for a minute.”

‘Sometimes you blink, and it’s already a year later when you’re out on the road,” he explained. “Touring is amazing, and I am so grateful for what I get to do for a living and all the fans that have been with me since day one and along the way.”

Despite his appreciation for his job, Brown explained that “getting that time at home when you’re often on the road is an amazing feeling to take the time to have those little moments like having breakfast together and really do the small stuff as a family helps recharge you, and then you feel like you’re ready to get back out there and give it your all on tour.”

He added, “We have such an exciting year coming up next year, and getting that space to be together as family beforehand is something we don’t take for granted.”

Kane And Katelyn Brown’s Family Tradition During The Holidays

The Browns also have a few family traditions, and fans won’t be surprised to learn that one of them includes singing. “The girls love to sing, and having them be old enough to sing holiday songs together has meant so much,” Brown said.

The “Bury Me In Georgia” singer was speaking with Billboard ahead of the recently-aired NBC holiday special, Christmas at Graceland, which featured Brown and artists including Alanis Morissette, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Lainey Wilson, Lana Del Rey, Post Malone and The War and Treaty performing Elvis Presley songs at Graceland.

“Blue Christmas” Duet With Elvis Presley

Brown performed his version of “Blue Christmas” and released a version of the song that includes vocals from the singer as well as Presley. “Blue Christmas” was written by Billy Hayes and Jay W. Johnson and was recorded by Presley for his 1957 Elvis’ Christmas Album project. It was also a No. 1 Hot Country Songs hit for Ernest Tubb in 1950.

For Brown, his connection to Presley was sparked by his grandmother. “My Nana is a huge Elvis fan and always has been,” he shared. “Growing up, I remember her carrying around a bag with Elvis’ face on it, and my earliest memories of Elvis and his music were of listening to him with her, and how excited she is and still gets hearing his music. My Nana is a superhero, and so having that connection with and memory with her and his music is something that means a lot to me.”

“Blue Christmas” has now been added to the lineup of songs that Brown and his daughters sing at home together.  “It is still something I am trying to wrap my head around that I have a duet with Elvis,” he said. “And to hear my daughters sing it at home now too — what an amazing feeling.

Kane Brown Is A Devoted Father

The 30-year-old is a devoted dad and has spoken multiple times about his important it is for him to be there for his daughters despite his busy career. In an interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings in 2022, Brown said he “always knew that I was gonna try to be there.”

“I just always wanted to give them the life that I never had,” he added.
