Kane Brown headlined the Boots in the Park Festival at Waterfront Park in San Diego on Saturday, and he used his set to share the stage with a fellow performer, bringing out Tyler Hubbard.

Videos shared online show Brown in the middle of singing his hit “Bury Me in Georgia” before introducing his fellow “Georgia boy,” Hubbard, who arrived on stage to jump in on the second verse of the boot-stomping, rock-tinged track.

Hubbard finished out the song with Brown, singing, “Bury me in Georgia, lemme rest in peace / Underneath the pines yeah, yeah, yeah / Where my roots run deep / When it’s my day, put me in that clay / And remember what I told ya / When I die, bury me in Georgia.”

Brown penned “Bury Me in Georgia” with Josh Hoge, Matt McGinn, and Jordan Schmidt. “‘Bury Me In Georgia’ just a song, you know, about the home state that I grew up in,” Brown previously shared in a statement. “That’s where I want to go whenever it’s my time. Especially the Georgia Bulldogs, they on top of it right now about three-peat so anyway, no, Georgia is just, you know, it’s always gonna place in my heart.”

“Bury Me in Georgia” just topped the country charts, giving Brown his milestone tenth No. 1 hit. The song took the top spot on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart dated September 16, going from No. 4 to No. 1 in its 29th week.

Serviced to country radio in April, “Bury Me in Georgia” became the most-added song that week with a major 85 first-week adds.

The song appears on Brown’s 2022 album Different Man, which also features the No. 1 singles “One Mississippi,” “Like I Love Country Music” and “Thank God,” a duet with Brown’s wife, Katelyn

New Album On The Way

Kane Brown is currently focused on new music, recently telling Pure Country that he’s “really excited” about his next album.

“We usually have a huge variety,” he said of the various sounds fans will hear on the project. “I usually have pop stuff on there, but so far this album has just been pop country and then we have some really traditional country songs.”

Brown also revealed that the album includes a song that was on hold for George Strait before Strait ultimately passed on it. “I’m really excited for that one,” he shared.

Teased New Music

The singer may have teased some of that new music in an Instagram post last month, sharing a video of himself dancing in his home with his two daughters, Kingsley and Kody. The clip sees the trio getting their groove on as Brown jokingly dances as if his back hurts before gathering his girls in his arms for a group hug, their dance party soundtracked to an upbeat love song that finds Brown singing about how all he needs is his other half next to him.

“If we had never met, heaven knows where I’d be / Girl you got it all, there ain’t nothing that I need / Besides you beside me,” the lyrics read. Brown captioned the video, “Love these little puddins.”

He also teased another tune in his latest Instagram post as he wrapped up headlining trek.

Now that Brown has officially wrapped his headlining Drunk or Dreaming Tour, he has plenty of time to work on new music. The trek began in March and took the 29-year-old to arenas across the country, concluding last month.
