For the first time since welcoming their son Tex Lawrence, Luke Combs and his wife Nicole Hocking Combs made a red carpet appearance at the 2022 CMA Awards.

Combs wore an all-black suit with a small blue pocket square, while wife Nicole wore a stunning short gray dress with a floor-length sheer top layer adorned with an iridescent floral pattern.

Nominated for three awards this year, including Entertainer of the Year again, Combs performed his latest single, “The Kind of Love We Make” on the CMA Awards stage.

“Still surreal when I receive nominations from the @cma. Something I dreamed of for a long time. It’s a true honor to be a part of country music. Thank you to the association and the fans for making this ol’ boy’s day!”

Combs has returned to country radio with “Going, Going, Gone,” a fan-favorite from his new album, Growin’ Up, which he co-wrote alongside James McNair and Ray Fulcher.

“Like a runaway southbound train / Like an Arizona desert rain / Like lightning in the sky / Like fireworks in July / Like a left field home run ball / Like a whiskey shot at last call / It’s like she was made for moving on / That girl is going, going, gone,” Combs sings on the track’s chorus.

Combs is currently in the midst of his headlining Middle Of Somewhere Tour, which features special guests Lainey Wilson, Jordan Davis and Morgan Wade on select dates and continues through December of 2022.

Additionally, Combs recently announced a massive world tour that will visit three continents and 16 countries. The trek, which will be hitting stadiums and arenas across the globe, is set to kick off on March 25, 2023, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas and wrap up in London, England at The O2 Arena on October 19. Riley Green, Lainey Wilson, Flatland Cavalry and Brent Cobb will serve as support on the North American tour dates, while special guests on the Australian and New Zealand dates include Cody Johnson and Lane Pittman.

The world tour will visit 16 stadiums across North America, including Nashville’s Nissan Stadium, Kansas City’s GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, Foxborough’s Gillette Stadium and more. Hitting three continents and 16 countries, the massive outing will also stop in Australia, New Zealand, U.K., Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, France and Belgium.

The 56th Annual CMA Awards featured performances from Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Cole Swindell, Cody Johnson, and Carly Pearce.

The show opened with an all-star tribute to the late Loretta Lynn from Underwood, Reba McEntire and Lambert.

Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Jon Pardi, and Lainey Wilson joined together to honor the 2022 CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Alan Jackson.

Additionally, the show included star-studded collaborations from Kelsea Ballerini, Kelly Clarkson and Carly Pearce, HARDY and Lainey Wilson, Elle King with The Black Keys, Brothers featuring The War and Treaty, Thomas Rhett and Katy Perry, Chris Stapleton with Patty Loveless, Zac Brown Band, Jimmie Allen and Marcus King as well as Ashley McBryde with Pillbox Patti, Brandy Clark, Caylee Hammack and John Osborne.

Mookie Betts, BRELAND, Jessica Chastain, Jordan Davis, Sarah Drew, Cole Hauser, Tyler Hubbard, Wynonna Judd, Lady A, Rex Linn, Little Big Town, Parker McCollum, Reba McEntire, Ben and Erin Napier, Jeannie Seely, Michael Shannon, and Lainey Wilson were on hand to present during the ceremony.

Co-hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning, the 2022 CMA Awards broadcasted live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena and aired on ABC (8:00-11:00 PM/ET).

The CMA Awards will also be available for viewing on Hulu beginning Thursday, Nov. 10.
