The country superstar, who was named one of Time’s 100 most influential people of 2021, revealed that “Blessed & Free” featuring the GRAMMY-award winning R&B artist, H.E.R., will be coming out on Thursday (Sept. 30).

In the meantime, the hitmaker has been teasing fans throughout social media with snippets of the song. In a clip previously shared by Brown in 2020, the “One Mississippi” singer played a clip of the song in his car, while he sang along and jammed to the song, which drops on Thursday (Sept. 30).

“Yeah, I’m already blessed, yeah I’m already blessed and free (Oh-oh, oh-oh) /  Yeah, I’m already blessed, yeah I’m already blessed and free (Oh, oh-oh) / Long as my eyes still asleep / As long as my heart still beat /As long as I’m alive, I’m free,” the singer sang in the previously shared clip, which you can watch HERE.

“Blessed & Free” follows Brown’s latest release of “One Mississippi” and is expected to appear on his forthcoming new album.

The yet-to-be announced album will follow Brown’s ACM-nominated EP, Mixtape Vol. 1, which was released on August 14, 2021, via RCA Nashville/Zone 4. The EP has gone on to earn several hit singles including “Cool Again,” “Worldwide Beautiful” “Worship You” and his Top 40 radio single, “Be Like That” featuring Khalid and Swae Lee.

The new duet will serve as the title track for Brown’s upcoming massive 35-date ‘Blessed & Free Tour,’ which kicks off later this week on Friday, October 1 in Sacramento and will visit all 29 NBA basketball arenas throughout 2021 and 2022, marking the first country artist in history to headline every NBA basketball arena on a single tour.
