On the heels of becoming Big Loud Records’ newest signee, country riser Griffen Palmer continues to make strides in his career with the release of new track “Second Guessing.”

Produced by Joey Moi and penned by Palmer alongside Corey Crowder, Ester Dean, Andrew DeRoberts, Tyler Hubbard, Brian Kelley, Shane McAnally, Ben Simonetti, Ryan Tedder and Geoff Warburton, listeners first heard the track in 2020 as the winning cut on an episode of NBC’s Songland. The track’s official release offers a fresh take on the romance filled love letter.

“Since I met you, I/ I ain’t spent one second guessin’/ I made up my mind/ I never knew I. Just had to find my direction/ Gettin’ lost in your eyes/ ‘Cause I’ve turned days into nights/ And spent all of my life askin’ questions/ Now I don’t spend one second guessin’,” the pop-country artist sings in the track’s twist-laden chorus.

The emotive ballad is brought to life in an accompanying music video directed by Justin Clough, depicting the security and certainty brought on by finding your special someone. Watch the official music video for “Second Guessing” below.

“I feel like the song is such an important part of my story as an artist, so I’m excited to put my own spin on it and put it out,” shared Palmer. “Seeing the reaction people had to it on Songland was wild. It means a lot to me to have so many people resonate with my music and what I have to say. I’ve had a lot of people ask me if I was ever going to do my own version, so I wanted to put this out for them. I hope everyone likes it!”

Palmer’s hot streak is seemingly far from over as he gears up to join labelmate Lily Rose for her 2023 headline tour. The tour — originally announced in December — instantly sold-out major markets with the initial six cities, including Boston, Philadelphia and NYC and recently tacked on 10 extra dates. The trek will kick off on Feb. 9 in Allston, Mass. at Brighton Music Hall and will come to a close on April 23 at Houston, Texas’ House of Blues.

Additionally, Griffen Palmer will make his national TV debut with a performance of “Second Guessing” on The Bachelor.

The episode will feature a Palmer-style serenade of the tune during a special one-on-one date for newly minted Bachelor, Zach Shallcross.

“It’s surreal to get to perform on national TV for the first time,” Palmer shared. “Especially on a show as massive and influential as ‘The Bachelor.’ This year has already been full of a lot of firsts for me, but this is one I will never forget.”

The Bachelor will air on Monday, February 6 at 8/7c on ABC. His performance will also be available to stream next-day on Hulu.
