Conner Smith is putting his relationship front and center in his brand-new music video for his fast-rising country radio single, “Take It Slow.”

This clip, which features Smith with his real-life girlfriend, Leah Thompson, finds the 22-year-old rising country artist showing off his affectionate side as he enjoys a day out in the beauty of nature with the love of his life.

Throughout the video, Smith can’t help but smile while savoring the moments he is sharing with Thompson. He drives his Chevy truck to pick her up at a cabin, and she runs into his arms before they make their way to a field full of daisies. While lying on a blanket surrounded by colorful fall leaves, and fishing with a couple of beers, they experience the blissful feelings that come at the height of a whirlwind romance at an unrushed pace.

At one point, the pair show off their playful sides, with Thompson and her boyfriend taking a dip in the lake before cozying up together by a bonfire.

Nowhere to be, nowhere to go / Don’t wanna leave, can’t take you home,” Thompson passionately sings the lyrics of the modern-Country power ballad over an intoxicating rhythm featuring plucking acoustics. “Let’s just take it slow, I know a backroad, we can find a spot to be alone / We can sway back and forth to what’s on the radio / ‘Cause you said that you were all mine, innocent look in your eye / Nothing but time, kiss me all night and let’s just take it slow.”

“It’s been special to see what ‘Take It Slow’ has become,” Smith shared in a press release. “I’m thankful to the team for helping me bring it to life with this video and excited for everyone to continue connecting with the song.”

Ahead of its arrival, Smith teased the music video in a post on Instagram.

“We’re gonna put out a ‘Take It Slow’ music video on Wednesday,” he captioned a photo that shows him lifting Thompson while outdoors and surrounded by a majestic fall backdrop.

After the video dropped, Thompson took to her respective Instagram page to celebrate the release and to dote on her significant other.

“I shot a music video in Tennessee with my best friend, and it just came out!! @connersmithmusic is so talented, and I’m honored to be able to see his heart. Conner’s character far outweighs any of his outward talent, and I love being able to attest to that!” she captioned a clip. “This song has been so special to him & it was so special to me to be a part of this video♥️ Nowhere to be, nowhere to go.”
