Gabby Barrett is unable to celebrate the release of her sophomore album, Chapter & Verse, next month as she is awaiting the arrival of her third child. However, the country superstar wanted to ensure that her fans had the opportunity to honor the project’s release with “something special in Nashville.”
Shares A Statement With Fans, Announces Giveaway
Barrett, a 23-year-old Pennsylvania native, took to social media on Friday afternoon (Jan. 12) to share the unfortunate news with fans via a statement in addition to an exciting giveaway.
“I’m not able to celebrate the release of Chapter & Verse in person because I’m busy growing a little human, BUT we’re working on something special in Nashville in honor of the album release on February 2nd for y’all,” she wrote, before unveiling an exciting sweepstakes, “I want to fly one of YOU and a guest out for the weekend to experience it all!!”
The contest offers an opportunity to participate in a special event in Nashville celebrating the release of Barrett’s forthcoming album, Chapter & Verse. The grand prize includes a trip for two to Music City, covering roundtrip airfare and a three-night accommodation. Winners will also enjoy an exclusive tour of Gabby’s tour bus and other exciting behind-the-scenes experiences, as detailed on the official sweepstakes’ entry website.

Barrett Anticipates Arrival of Third Child, Coinciding with Upcoming Album Release
Gabby Barrett and her husband Cade Foehner are expecting their third child in the coming weeks, coinciding with her new album’s release. The couple first announced their pregnancy in August 2023, where they took to social media via a joint post to reveal the news with fans. In doing so, the beloved country couple shared a photo on Instagram, which they simply captioned, “SWIPE for a surprise 🩷 #livingthedream.”
The image captured Barrett and Foehner seated together on a staircase that she uses as part of her live show production. The photo’s focus point however was a speaker that sat front and center on the image, displaying the message “baby #3” accompanied by two hearts. The third slide of the post featured Barrett laying in bed with a Baby Doppler on her belly listening to their third child’s heartbeat.
The American Idol alums, Barrett and Foehner, are also parents to Augustine Boone, who was born in October 2022, and Baylah May, who they welcomed in January 2021.
Gabby Barrett and Cade Foehner met in 2018 when they both appeared on Season 16 of American Idol. Their relationship continued to flourish, and Foehner proposed in March 2019. Following a short engagement, the pair tied the knot on October 5, 2019, during a small wedding in Garrison, Texas.
Gabby Barrett’s New Album, Chapter & Verse
Chapter & Verse is scheduled for release on February 2, 2024, via Warner Music Nashville. Barrett has already released several songs from the upcoming project. Most recently, Barrett dropped “You’re My Texas,” a song, co-written by Miranda Lambert, that serves as a full-hearted love letter to her husband and the Lone Star State.
She has also released “Growin’ Up Raising You,” a song that details the realities of navigating motherhood as a young parent, “Cowboy Back,” which serves as an ode to her husband, as well as her current single, “Glory Days,” a tune that finds the powerhouse vocalist reflecting on the importance of living in the moment and encouraging listeners to never take the little things for granted.
In addition to already released tracks, Barrett also shared a teaser of another song titled, “Dance Like No One’s Watching,” a tune written by Luke Combs, that received an overwhelming response when she posted it on Instagram last year.
The 14-track project was co-produced by Barrett alongside Ross Copperman and will dive deeper into her experience as a wife, mother, and more. The title, Chapter & Verse, alludes to the sections and passages found in each book of the Bible, mirroring the ongoing chapters in her marriage, family, career, and the broader narrative of her life journey.
“I’m way more intentionally connected to these songs than my first album, I would say. Every song moves me in a certain way, and it’s just me grown up. The past years that I’ve lived, I’ve lived a lot of years in a short amount of time. It’s grown up, it’s fresh, and I’m hoping people really can resonate with it,” she recently told Entertainment Tonight.
