Dylan Marlowe has a busy schedule ahead. The country singer/songwriter is anticipating the arrival of identical twin boys, who are due any day now. In the spring, he’ll also hit the road for one of the biggest tours of his career, joining Ella Langley on her first-ever headlining run, The Dandelion Tour, as a supporting act.

Marlowe and Langley go way back. The two moved to Nashville around the same time to chase their country music dreams. Opening up about their friendship in an interview with Music Mayhem backstage at the Grand Ole Opry during Conservation Aid, Marlowe reflected on their similar path, which also included respected songwriter Joybeth Taylor, who has co-penned songs for Langley, Gavin Adcock, BigXthaPlug , and others, as well as fellow country singer Trey Lewis, who has gone viral for his NSFW parody songs.

“I guess we got to town pretty close to the same time, and me, her, and Joybeth Taylor, we used to write once a week for a long time, and then we got pretty busy with touring,” Marlowe recalled. “That was before me, and Ella started touring heavily.”

“We all wrote ‘I’ll Keep the Country’ together. We wrote a bunch of other songs too,” he added, noting that Langley was roommates with Lewis at the time.

“She lived with Trey Lewis, and a bunch of us lived in Hermitage, Tenn.,” Marlowe said of how the friends first connected. “We had tons of bonfires and stuff over there at Trey and Ella’s house all the time, and we wrote a bunch of songs. So we go pretty far back.”

Just this month, Langley made history as the first female artist to dominate the Hot 100, Hot Country Songs, and Country Airplay charts at the same time with her smash “Choosin’ Texas.” Along with that milestone, she’s picked up a handful of awards, including New Female Artist of the Year at the 2024 ACM Awards — all following the massive breakthrough hit “You Look Like You Love Me” featuring Riley Green, which earned several awards of its own. Now, she’s reading the release of her next album and a tour, which has already sold out.

Watching Langley’s superstar trajectory as a female country artist, Marlowe says he has nothing but love and support for his friend. “I’m so happy for her that her career has just flown, and I get to reap the benefits of her,” Marlowe said, smiling. “I get to go out on tour with her and open for her, and I’m excited!”

“It’s pretty cool to see your buddies winning,” he continued. “I’ve been on tons of tours, especially with people that I knew, but seeing somebody like Ella go from where we were together at the same spot — and we went up together for a while — and then she just exploded. And it’s really fun to see your buddy win. It’s cool, happy for everybody that wins, but when you see your buddies really winning, you’re just like, it’s really cool.”

Marlowe also teased that he may be joining Langley onstage during the trek to perform “You Look Like You Love Me,” as they did on the Riverfront stage at last year’s CMA Fest.

The Dandelion Tour launches at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio. The trek wraps on August 15 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. Along with Marlowe, Kameron Marlowe, Kaitlin Butts, Gabriella Rose, and Laci Kaye Booth will serve as support on select dates of the tour.

“You know we had to take this record on the road… So excited to announce The Dandelion Tour! Also, bringing some of my favorite people along, you won’t wanna miss this 🌼,” Langley shared a graphic earlier this month on Instagram, giving fans something to look forward to from her in 2026.

The trek comes in support of her latest album, Dandelion, arriving on April 10 via SAWGOD Records/Columbia. Co-produced by Miranda Lambert and Ben West, Dandelion will feature 18 tracks, including the project’s already released title track as well as “Choosin’ Texas.” Dandelion will serve as the follow-up to her debut album, hungover, and will mark Langley’s most personal album to date.
