Tracy Lawrence is paying tribute to George Strait, George Jones, Keith Whitley and Merle Haggard with his new “Mount Rushmore Of Country Music” tattoo.

On Friday afternoon (July 28), the “Paint Me A Birmingham” singer took to social media to unveil a striking tribute to a few country music legends.

“Getting real close to being done with my country music Mount Rushmore tattoo! @georgestrait, @thegeorgejones, #keithwhitley and @merlehaggardofficial,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a clip of his new ink. “My buddy @travisharpertattoo does amazing work. Check him out!”

In a bold and permanent display of admiration, Lawrence got a “Mount Rushmore of Country Music” tattoo etched onto his skin that features portraits of four legendary country artists who have profoundly impacted the country music landscape.

The tattoo features the visages of George Strait, George Jones, Keith Whitley, and Merle Haggard, all positioned together like the iconic Mount Rushmore sculpture. Each of these country music icons left an indelible mark on the world of country music, inspiring generations of artists, including Lawrence himself.

The tattoo not only showcases Lawrence’s love for Strait, Jones, Whitley and Haggard, but it also serves as a symbolic gesture of gratitude to the greats who paved the way in Country music.

He Got Another Tattoo Last Month

This isn’t Tracy Lawrence’s first tattoo. In fact, just last month the ‘90s country hitmaker took to social media to show off a brand-new tattoo on his left forearm that was inked by Bubba Irwin. That tattoo was of a lighthouse with waves crashing ashore.

Tracy Lawrence recently wrapped a co-headlining tour with Gary Allan. He also offered an impressive performance at CMA Fest in June of 2023, where he performed some of his biggest hits, including “Paint Me A Birmingham,” “Time Marches On,” “Alibis” and more.

CRS Humanitarian Award

Earlier this year, Lawrence was honored with the 2023 CRS Artist Humanitarian Award during the New Faces of Country Music show as part of Nashville’s annual Country Radio Seminar

“I am overwhelmed with gratitude for being honored by the Country Radio Broadcasters,” Lawrence shared of the high honor. “The success of Mission:Possible, each year surpassing our previous donation records, is nothing short of a blessing. Giving back has always been a calling for me and to be acknowledged for that by such a long-standing and respected organization is truly an honor.”

Lawrence is also the host of Honky Tonkin’ With Tracy Lawrence, his radio show that has been nominated for several awards, as well as TL’s Road House podcast, which brings listeners inside Lawrence’s tour bus for in depth conversation with country stars and has featured guests such as HARDY, Jason Aldean, Jelly Roll and more.

Additionally, Tracy Lawrence is currently on the road performing at select festivals throughout the summer, including Streator Fest 2023, Hot Valley Nights, American Made Music Festival, Rome River Jam 2023, and more.

He will honor the life and legacy of Ronnie Milsap in Music City at The Ryman on October 3 alongside Kelly Clarkson, Little Big Town, Scotty McCreery, Justin Moore, Parker McCollum and more. Click HERE to buy tickets for Ronnie Milsap – A Career Celebration.
