Morgan Wallen may have a lot of fans, but none bigger than his family, who recently attended another of the country star’s concerts. Wallen’s sister Ashlyne documented the evening on TikTok, posting a clip of herself alongside her little sister, Lacey, and her parents, Lesli and Tommy, singing along to Wallen’s early hit “The Way I Talk.”

All three sang along with every word, Lesli dancing along as Ashlyne recorded herself and her parents, who were standing in the pit area of the concert. “We were vibing hard,” Ashlyne wrote in her caption.

Fans were quick to share their love for the moment in the video’s comments, with one writing, “This is my favorite video in the world, rn.” Another called the clip “the most heartwarming video,” while another declared that “Your dad watching Morgan makes me cry every time!!!”

Wallen’s Parents Proved They’re Some Of His Biggest Fans

Back in October of 2023, Wallen performed in Bristol, Tennessee as part of the Country Thunder festival. As the area isn’t too far from his hometown of Sneedville, Tennessee, his parents were there for the show, and even got the crowd hyped up ahead of their son’s performance, further proving they are some of his biggest fans.

Video taken by a fan shows Lesli standing side stage and waving her arms as the crowd chanted “Morgan! Morgan!” She also clapped along with the audience as they anxiously awaited Wallen’s arrival on stage. Fans also captured video of Tommy watching the show, sitting side stage in a cross-legged position as he sang along with his son.

Singing Career Began With His Sisters In Church And Mother Signing Him Up For The Voice

Wallen began singing in church at age 3 with his sisters, and it was his mom who signed him up for The Voice, which he appeared on in 2014. In a story on his website, Wallen shared that his mom was one of the first to hear his early songs.

“I don’t know if I ever wrote a song til I was 19 or 20,” he said. “I used to write poems and stuff like that when I was in school… but really, I started singing when I was three years old. My momma threw me up on stage at church where my dad was a preacher at, and I’ve been singing ever since.”

“I guess I always knew I’d be singing [and] I always felt a connection to singing [and] I didn’t know if I could write songs or not. I started doing that in my parents’ garage on the workout weight bench,” he added. “I’d write a song then go in while my momma was cookin’ dinner or something and play it for her. I have to give my mom credit, she didn’t always tell me I was good, which I appreciated.”

Meanwhile, It Was His Father Tommy Who Inspired His Once-Signature Mullet Hairstyle

And it was Wallen’s father who gave him the inspiration for his once-signature mullet while he was looking through his parents’ photo albums during a visit to their house.

“I got to the one where they’re getting married, and my dad had a mullet,” he told the Tennessean in 2021. “And he was 25. I was 25 at the time… I said, ‘Man, maybe that’s it. I’m gonna get me a mullet. I’m gonna show some respect to my dad and do something a little bit different.’ It just caught on, man. That was it. That was ‘Game Over.’”

Wallen is currently on the road on his massive One Night at a Time World Tour, which starts back up in April and will play stadiums across the country before concluding in Las Vegas on August 9.
