WATCH: Morgan Wallen & HARDY Give Rowdy Performance Of “He Went To Jared” In Georgia

Morgan Wallen and HARDY brought a rowdy showcase of their 2019 collaboration to the Rome River Jam.

The longtime friends and country hitmakers joined forces during Wallen’s headlining Rome River Jam concert in Georgia on Saturday (Nov. 6). The performance was destined to take place as the song is in Wallen’s headlining set list each show.

In a clip shared by a Morgan Wallen fan page on Sunday (Nov. 7), filmed by Instagram user Misty Haun-Gooden, Wallen and HARDY gave a rowdy performance of their Hixtape Vol. 1 collaboration, “He Went To Jared.”

“But he went to Ole Miss, I went to work / He pushes paper, I push the dirt / He’s got that clean cut, drivin’ him a clean truck / I’m just sittin’ here with a beer and my jeans tucked / He’s tyin’ cans on the bumper of a car / I’m tyin’ one on, takin’ it hard / Thinkin’ ’bout him there with a white horse and carriage / Nearly three karats, he went to Jared / I went to the bar / Yeah, I went to the bar / Yeah, I went to the bar,” Wallen and HARDY sing in the clip.

Co-written by Wallen alongside HARDY and Chase McGill, “He Went To Jared” was released in September 2019 and appears on HARDY’s infamous project, Hixtape Vol. 1. Wallen is also set to appear on Hixtape Vol. 2, which is set for release this year, however, it has not yet been announced who will join him or what the song will be called.

During the Georgia show, Wallen was also joined by another good friend, ERNEST, to perform their forthcoming duet, “Good Day For Flower Shops,” an unreleased track that ERNEST is gearing up to release. Wallen will reportedly appear on the second verse of the upcoming tune.

“I’ll take all your roses / if you cut off the thorns / can’t take no more / how ’bout violets and daises to hide all the crazy / it’s going to take all you got / it’s a bad day for love / but a good day for flower shops,” the pair sing in the chorus of the unreleased song.

The pair have been teasing the song for several weeks, but neither have confirmed a release date for the track.

“Well, y’all kind of knew this already, but I love singing sad songs,” Wallen previously shared during a surprise Whiskey Jam performance in Nashville. “It don’t matter if I’m the happiest person in the world, I just love riding around listening to sad songs. That’s what I’m going to sing tonight. This is a new one, I don’t know if y’all heard this or not but me and Ernest are doing this together, it’s called ‘Flower Shop.’”

The “Sand In My Boots” singer and East Tennessee native recently announced tour dates throughout fall and winter into next summer, several of which feature both HARDY and ERNEST, among others.

He is also set to headline various festivals, including Country Thunder in Arizona, Wisconsin, Florida and more, throughout the United States in 2022.
