Gwen Stefani and Carter Rubin surprised the capacity crowd in Las Vegas, NV on Friday (Nov. 5) evening with a special duet.

The No Doubt frontwoman and Season 19 winner of NBC’s The Voice teamed up for a performance of Stefani and Blake Shelton’s chart-topping duet, “Nobody But You.” The performance took place at Zappos Theater in Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

Ahead of the performance, Stefani gushed over her time being a coach on The Voice, an experience that allowed her to not only meet her husband, Shelton, but also that allowed her to introduce new talent to the world on TV.

“You guys know that I was lucky enough to do like a lot of fun things in my life, but one of my favorite, funniest, weirdest, craziest things I’ve ever did was be a coach on The Voice,” Stefani admitted.

She continued, “I mean, I never thought I would do Vegas, but I never thought I would be on TV and then meet my husband and blah, blah, blah, and then it’s just like what. And then, because of that, I actually got invited to do some other things but what’s crazy is I actually won The Voice. I won The Voice, and it’s really hard to beat Blake, okay? And I won The Voice with a boy that was 14-years-old turning 15. His name’s Carter Rubin and I asked him to come sing with me tonight for you guys, because he’s going to do a song that is a country song that I did with Blake Shelton that went to No. 1, it’s called ‘Nobody But You.’”

Rubin won Season 19 of NBC’s The Voice in 2020 at the age of 15-years-old, which made him the youngest male champion in the show’s history.

Recently, in late October, the young singer and rising star shared a new breakup anthem called “Horoscope,” which Stefani praised at the time of its release. “I am SO proud of @carterjrubin for releasing his new song AND video #horoscope!!” Stefani wrote on Twitter. “Go check it out! Sending you love Carter!”

Last night in Las Vegas, Rubin filmed a clip alongside Stefani, where the superstar told fans to go check out the single on streaming platforms.

“Oh my gosh, I love the song ‘Horoscope,’ You need to stream, download, listen, dance, make TikTok videos. Anything you can do, listen to ‘Horoscope,’ this is Carter Rubin.”
