Kane Brown just released the stripped down version of his upbeat hit single “Cool Again” on Friday (Sept. 11).

The music video for the stripped down single is the same that first appeared during the 1-hour iHeartCountry 4th Of July BBQ Special presented by Lowes on Friday, July 3. The clip was filmed right in Brown’s backyard in front of his resort-style pool with their fire pit going, accompanied by his band, while his wife Katelyn and their daughter, Kingsley watched the their back deck porch.

“Cool Again” is co-written by Brown alongside Josh Hoge, Matthew McGinn and Lindsay Times. Produced by Dann Huff and Lindsay Rimes. During the single Brown reminisces about the good times of a past relationship explaining that he just wants to be cool again.

“We wrote ‘Cool Again’ at a writing retreat when it was about 20 degrees outside,” Brown said previously of the song. “At the time, it was about missing warm weather, but then it became so much more. It made us think about all the amazing memories of summer. We were really wanting to go back to that. I think that’s something people can really relate to in their own lives, especially right now.”

You can hear the stripped down version of the popular track while watching the music video below.
