Toby Keith is giving back.
The “Peso In My Pocket” singer’s 19th annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic will return to Norman, Oklahoma on June 2 and 3 in support of the OK Kids Korral, according to a recent press release.
The event will include a denim and diamonds-themed dinner and silent auction on June 2 headlined by Sawyer Brown and hosted at the Riverwind Casino, the release also noted.
Silent Auction
The silent auction will include signed memorabilia from various athletes and entertainers, such as NFL quarterback Joe Burrow, NBA star Steph Curry, golf icon Tiger Woods, country-pop superstar Taylor Swift, country music icon Dolly Parton, and more.
Retailers including Ashley Furniture, Kennel & Crate, and South OKC Ace Hardware are among those who have donated additional items that will be featured in the auction.
Bidding for the silent auction will open to the public on May 12, the same release indicated.
‘Shotgun Golf’
The golf classic will follow on June 3 at Norman’s Belmar Golf Club with shotgun golf beginning at 8 a.m. for morning players and 1:30 p.m. for afternoon players, according to the schedule posted on the event’s official website. A $10,000 closest-to-the pin shootout benefitting the OK Kids Korral will then take place at 6 p.m.
Last year’s event raised more than $1.3 million, the third-highest total ever, according to the Shock Ink press release. The event has also raised more than $15 million for the OK Kids Korral to date, the same release noted.
The 61-year-old country singer posted a photo to his Instagram account after last year’s event, thanking everyone who helped participate and make it a success.
“The Toby Keith and Friends Golf Classic took place a few weeks ago in Oklahoma. Every dollar has been counted, and the grand total is in: they raised $1.38 million dollars for the @tkfoundation1, one of the highest totals yet! Thank you to everyone who participated in the event – both in person and virtually,” Keith wrote at the time.
The 2022 Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic took place shortly after the “Peso In My Pocket” singer revealed he’d been diagnosed with stomach cancer the previous fall.

Back In Action
In addition to preparing for the 2023 Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic, the country singer has recently returned to the stage for the first time since sharing his cancer diagnosis.
Keith popped up on stage at Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse in Lexington, Kentucky back in November where he sang his 2003 chart-topper, “I Love This Bar, Otis Redding’s “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay,” Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Sweet Home Alabama,” and more.
Following his impromptu performance, Keith also made a surprise appearance at a popular Oklahoma sports bar, where he led a massive sing-along to his chart-topping debut single, “Should’ve Been A Cowboy.”
