Scotty McCreery and his wife, Gabi (Dugal) McCreery, have ventured off to one of the most majestic places in America. The married couple — with their nine-month-old son Avery (whose full name is Merrick Avery McCreery) in tow — ventured off to Utah’s Zion National Park.

All that according to the country singer’s Instagram page, where he has begun documenting the family trip for his more than 600K followers, beginning with Day 1.

On Wednesday (July 26), the North Carolina native shared a carousel of photos, which shows him getting in some fun-filled family time on what could be one of Avery’s first outings that is considered a real vacation outside of his already established touring lifestyle with his daddy.

The first capture from the trip shows the trio all smiles while dressed in hiking gear with eager facial expressions to get out on the trails and see the sights. Baby Merrick Avery, meanwhile, is looking cool as a cucumber while sporting sunglasses and strapped to his dad’s chest in a baby carrier.

In one video, viewers get to see the draw-dropping landscape of the park as McCreery pans the camera toward the mountains and stunning rock formations.

“You’ve got to be kidding me? This picture is perfection. Love, y’all!” Fellow country artist and American Idol alum Lauren Alaina commented below the slideshow of snapshots and clips.

Another clip finds McCreery and his firstborn son waving at the camera while Gabi takes control of the lens and pans the equipment to show the view and trees surrounding the vast area.

In one of the photos, viewers catch a running stream near other plant species. Although it’s hard to tell which part of the landmark the couple is located, Zion National Park is home to several zones, which include canyons, rivers, mountains and more.

Day 2 In Zion National Park

The McCreery family also shared photos from day 2 of their vacation at Zion National Park.

McCreery also didn’t indicate how long he and his family plan to be on their vacation, but judging by Day 1 and 2, they already had a blast and likely have more footage to share in the coming days!

Previously Visited New York City Together

The latest set of captured memories come after McCreery invited his family to New York as part of his Good Morning America guest-appearance, which saw him performing his sentimental single, “It Matters To Her,” inspired by his wife.

During their stay in the Big Apple, Gabi took to Instagram to share the moments, which included taking in the sights and sounds of big city life, and going on plenty of walks.

“A whirlwind trip to the Big Apple 🏙️🤩 Avery couldn’t contain his excitement 🤪😅,” Gabi captioned alongside a slideshow of visuals from the mini trip.

Working On His New Album

Vacations aside, McCreery is currently working on his next album and follow up to his latest release, Same Truck: The Deluxe Album. As he has in the past, the 29-year-old loving husband and proud father plans to incorporate his personal life into his new material and says becoming a father has had a big impact on his songwriting.

“There will be a baby song on my next album, many more, every song has been inspired by him, every song has been influenced by the last six months of raising him, it’s a good place to be. I feel I have a lot of ideas, and a fresh place to be,” he shared of his next set of songs while previously co-hosting Country Countdown USA alongside Lon Helton.

McCreery and Gabi welcomed baby Avery on Tuesday, (October 24) in Raleigh, North Carolina, weighing 7lbs, 13oz, and measuring 21 inches. Since becoming a father, McCreery says every new challenge that comes his way has been a step that’s fully embraced.

“I think I grew up as a person, grew into a man and started a family,” he shared in an interview with The Eagle Tribune. “It’s a long way away from that 16-year-old who had no clue what he was doing but just knew he liked to sing.”
