The “One Mississippi” singer and his wife surprised fans with the announcement of the birth of their second daughter, Kodi Jane.

“New year, New family member ❤️ welcome to the family Kodi Jane 🥰 secrets finally out,” Brown shared on Instagram alongside a photo that was taken in the hospital after Kodi’s birth.

Weighing 7lbs., 9 oz and measuring 20.5 inches long, Kodi Jane Brown was born on Thursday afternoon (Dec. 30).

Brown’s wife also revealed the news on her Instagram alongside photos of her holding their new bundle of joy.

“Blessed with another beautiful angel Kodi Jane Brown… we love you so much 💕,” Katelyn said.

Recently, the couple opened up about their decision to keep their pregnancy a secret

“These past 9 months have been so scared and special to me,” Katelyn shared on Instagram. “Choosing to keep my pregnancy quiet was the best decision I’ve ever made. Soaking in special moments with my daughter and husband without the influence of social media and outside world made this time that music more intimate and unforgettable.”

Katelyn continued, “Thank you for all the kind messages and love. I am so grateful and blessed to be these little girls mama and can not wait to raise strong, confident, sweet little ladies with you @Kanebrown_music….you are the man we all look up to.”

Later, when a curious fan asked Brown, “Why was it kept a secret? I didn’t even know she was pregnant,” the chart-topping hitmaker explained, “Because when Kingsley was born, pictures were posted before we even announced it. When I asked Kate to marry me, people found out and shared it before we could. So, we wanted to be the one to announce this on our terms.”

In addition to revealing why the couple kept their pregnancy a secret, Katelyn also shared a video showing fans how she told Brown that she was pregnant.

“How I told @kanebrown we were expecting 🤰🏼#KB4,” Katelyn captioned the video.

The one-minute clip, which has already garnered nearly millions of views, began with Katelyn showing a Clearblue pregnancy test with her positive results. Brown was seen sound asleep in bed before she woke him up with the exciting news.

After seeing the “pregnant” results on the test, Brown was all smiles and the couple shared a kiss before he returned to sleep.

The couple celebrated their third wedding anniversary on October 12.

Kane and Katelyn got engaged in the Spring of 2017 and wed following year. Their daughter, Kingsley Rose, arrived in October 2019.

Fans have watched little Kingsley grow up over the past two years, and now, she’s become quite the road baby. She’s been accompanying Kane and Katelyn on tour this fall and seems to be having the time of her life as seen through her parents’ Instagram posts.

Kingsley celebrated her 2nd birthday on October 29 with a Minnie Mouse-themed birthday party.
