Kane Brown and his wife Katelyn have spent 2021 under the limelight, as country music fans have become fascinated with their loving relationship and family dynamic. However, the two shocked music-goers worldwide on New Year’s Eve when the singer’s wife announced the birth of their little girl.
“Blessed with another beautiful angel,” shared Katelyn in the life update on Instagram. “Kodi Jane Brown…we love you so much💕.” The heartwarming post captured the happy couple cradling their newborn in a hospital bed.
While Kane smiles ear to ear, the mother of two was photographed looking healthy and matching her newest addition in violet. Shortly after the news had surfaced, country fanatics flooded the comment section – praising the couple for keeping their family secret.
“Hats off to you two for being able to keep this out of the spotlight and really enjoy the journey with just your family,” shared a follower. However, it was the burning question of why they kept the pregnancy a secret in the first place that prompted a response from the multi-platinum artist.
“Why was it kept a secret? I didn’t even know she was pregnant,” asked a curious fan. “Because when Kingsley was born, pictures were posted before we even announced it. When I asked Kate to marry me, people found out and shared it before we could. So, we wanted to be the one to announce this on our terms,” Kane explained.
Following the life-altering announcement that holds a special place in their hearts, Katelyn spoke out about the last few months and how it was emotional, yet beneficial for her mental health.
“These past 9 months have been so scared and special to me,” says Katelyn below a stunning black-and-white maternity photo. “Choosing to keep my pregnancy quiet was the best decision I’ve ever made. Soaking in special moments with my daughter and husband without the influence of social media and outside world made this time that music more intimate and unforgettable,” she adds.
She continued to thank her supportive community for the kind well-wishes and revealed that she is excited to instill confidence within her two little girls. As Katelyn shared her excitement – she also gave her husband a friendly nod for his endless love and for being a wonderful father.

As Katelyn’s news was a surprise to some, many country music fans have recently placed their investigative hat on. As they played the detective role, several noticed that the mother hid her baby bump perfectly by posting photos from the waist up.
The couple even went the extra mile to have an intimate photoshoot for the 2021 CMA Awards back in November. “CMAs tonight! The plan was to walk Kingsley down the carpet for the first time, but it didn’t work out, so we made our own❤️,” says the award-winning artist ahead of the show. The two stayed far away from the press and cameras to help keep their little girl a secret.
