Scott Stapp, the voice of Creed, released a brand new solo single titled “Higher Power,” ultimately reinforcing that he is a force to be reckoned with as a solo artist.

Stapp first rose to stardom as the high-energy, post-grunge frontman of one of the greatest rock bands of all time, Creed. Selling millions of albums, performing at sold-out stadiums, earning countless Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, GRAMMY Awards and more, Stapp’s time as a member of Creed helped him hone in on his musical talents prior to transitioning to a solo career.

“Higher Power” Is The First Track From Forthcoming Full-Length Solo Project

The talented singer-songwriter made his solo debut in 2005 with the release of his platinum-certified debut project, The Great Divide. From then on, Stapp released two more solo albums, Proof of Life in 2013 and The Space Between the Shadows in 2019, ultimately leading up to his triumphant return here in 2023.

Released under Napalm Records, “Higher Power” is just the first glimpse into a full-length project that the rock and roll legend has on the horizon.

Turns His Own Near-Death Experiences Into An Acknowledgement Of Grace

Co-written with Scott Stevens, produced by Scott Stevens and Marti Fredericksen, mixed by Chris Baseford and mastered by Ted Jensen, “Higher Power” is said to be “a propulsive track that turns the singer’s own near-death experiences into an acknowledgement of grace.”

In a recent press release, Stapp shared, “Life’s mysteries can be unraveled by listening to one’s inner voice. For me, that means leaning on my faith in God and listening to his voice to guide me through the struggles and darkness. For others, whether it’s through art, nature, science, family, or a combination of all, tapping into a higher power is an individualized process that requires an open mind and a willingness to flow with a force that’s greater than the individual.”
