Scott Stapp made an unforgettable surprise appearance during Alexandra Kay’s latest concert in Music City.

On Friday evening (July 1), the Grammy-award winning rockstar joined the fast-rising country hitmaker during her 90-minute set in Nashville, Tennessee at the Opry Plaza.

Stapp and Kay brought to life Kay’s viral Creed medley, which featured some of Creed’s greatest and most recognized hits, including “My Sacrifice,” “Higher,” “With Arms Wide Open,” “One Last Breath” and more.

Throughout their epic live medley of Creed hits, Stapp flawlessly blended his signature baritone vocals with Kay’s powerhouse pipes.

“The legendary and iconic voice of Creed , Scott Stapp and I surprised the audience at my Nashville show with a live mashup of my favorite Creed songs!” Kay captioned the clip. “Scott is not only an incredible talent but he is one of the kindest humans I have ever had the chance to share the stage with. I will never forget the look on the audience’s face when you came out on stage! Thank for a memory that will stick with us all!”

Following their collaboration on stage, Kay told Music Mayhem about her experience with Stapp.

“Scott has one of the most recognizable and truly unique voices I have ever heard,” Kay shared. “I thought after rehearsing that I would be used to hearing it in person, but live on stage I was just as in awe as the entire audience. He is not only an incredible talent and a true icon, he is one of the most down to earth, humble humans I have ever shared the stage with.”

Stapp also sat down with us to talk about his decision to join Kay on stage to bring the viral clip to life live.

“I have tremendous respect and admiration for AK, a young, independent artist out there working hard chasing her dreams,” Stapp gushed. “I just wanted to show my support for what she’s doing and sing with her before she gets too busy selling out arenas!”

We also asked Stapp what was going through his mind when he first heard Kay’s medley. To which he replied, “I was enamored with her voice, her tone, her talent and how she effortlessly made the songs her own. Instantly impressed and thought this young lady has a big future ahead of her.”

How Did Alexandra Kay & Scott Stapp’s Surprise Performance Come To Be?

The performance comes just over 2 weeks after Stapp reacted to Kay’s medley on TikTok, leaving the buzzed-about country star “speechless.”

After thousands of fans tagged him in the comments of Kay’s video on social media, Stapp knew he had to share his reaction.

In doing so, Stapp duetted the clip as he mouthed the words to each hit as Kay sang them in the viral video. He praised her impressive medley in the caption saying, “BEAUTIFUL JOB!”

As a longtime fan and role model for Kay, his comment left her in shock.

“I am SPEECHLESS!,” Kay responded in the comments. “I can’t believe you saw this! You have the MOST iconic voice! Thank you for watching!!!,” she continued.
