Morgan Wallen took home three of the biggest awards of the evening at the 2023 People’s Choice Country Awards on Thursday (Sept. 28).
While the People’s Choice Country Awards didn’t air Wallen’s award wins during the broadcast, the country superstar took home a trio of the most prestigious honors of the night, including The People’s Artists of 2023, The Album of 2023 (One Thing At A Time) and The Concert Tour of 2023 (One Night At A Time World Tour).
The “Last Night” singer is currently in Canada in the midst of his record-breaking, and now award-winning, One Night At A Time World Tour, so he was unable to attend the ceremony.
Morgan Wallen was the most-nominated artist at the event with 11 nods.
Recently Added 10 New Stadium Shows
Wallen recently added 10 new stadium shows to the One Night At A Time World Tour. With only a few shows left on the 2023 leg of his tour and fans demanding for more, the country superstar revealed on Tuesday morning (Sept. 26) that he will be extending the tour with nearly a dozen new stadium dates in 2024.
“Thank y’all for an insanely fun and fulfilling 2023 tour,” Wallen shared. “It was impossible for me to hit every stadium that I wanted to in 2023, so we’re gonna keep this tour going in 2024. See y’all out there!”
Bailey Zimmerman, Jelly Roll, Jon Pardi, Lainey Wilson, Nate Smith, Bryan Martin, Lauren Watkins and Ella Langley will serve as support on select dates of the newly added shows.
Tickets for One Night At A Time 2024 will be using advance registration to ensure more tickets get into the hands of fans directly by helping to filter out bots from the ticket purchase process. Fans can register now through Sunday, Oct. 1 at 11:59 PM PT HERE. Once registration closes, fans will be randomly selected to receive a day/time of the presale along with a code that grants them access to the presale. Fans who previously purchased tickets for the canceled Oxford show on Saturday, April 23, 2023 will have access to an early presale. Details will be sent directly to ticket holders via email.
The tour will also offer a variety of different VIP packages and experiences for fans to take their concert experience to the next level. Packages vary but may include premium tickets, a guided backstage tour, group photo on the stage, invitation to the Morgan Wallen VIP Lounge, VIP-exclusive gift item & more. One Night At A Time World Tour
The newly announced dates comes as Wallen continues to embark on the first leg of the tour, which kicked off overseas in March of 2023 before making its way to the United States in April. Produced by Live Nation, the U.S. leg of the trek began with back-to-back nights at Milwaukee’s American Family Field.
The One Night At A Time World Tour marks Wallen’s first-time ever headlining stadiums across the globe for multiple nights. The trek marks one of the largest tours of 2023 and is visiting stadiums, arenas, amphitheaters, and festivals across four countries and two continents.
The first leg of the massive outing features support from ERNEST and Bailey Zimmerman on all dates. HARDY and Parker McCollum also appear on select dates.
In an effort to give back to those in need, Wallen will donate $3 of every ticket sold on the U.S. dates to The Morgan Wallen Foundation. Established in 2021, the foundation benefits causes near and dear to the superstar’s heart. To-date, Wallen has supported community revitalization efforts for ballparks in local neighborhoods in some touring cities, including Boston and Chicago, and MWF recently donated $500k to Habitat For Humanity of Greater Nashville’s Parkwood community transformation project. MWF has also provided funding for nonprofits such as Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation, Make-A-Wish, The Salvation Army and National Museum of African American Music.
New Album, One Thing At A Time
The tour comes in support of Wallen’s latest album, One Thing At A Time, which has quickly become one of the most popular albums of 2023. The project arrived on March 3 and made its debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, where it remained for 12 consecutive weeks; the most at the top for a Country album in over 30 years.
One Thing At A Time currently remains in the top 10 alongside his 6x platinum ACM Album of the Year, Dangerous: The Double Album, which has become Billboard’s longest running Top 10 album in history for a solo artist.
One Thing At A Time showcases Wallen’s wide range of musical influences as well as combine his love for country, rock and hip-hop.
The project features 36 tracks, including duets with Eric Church, HARDY and ERNEST. Wallen’s sister Ashlyne also makes an appearance on the project, singing harmonies on the song titled “Outlook.” He also pays tribute to his son, Indigo (Indie) Wilder Wallen, on the project with the tune “Dying Man,” which he often dedicates to Indie during his live concerts.
“This record represents the last few years of my life, the highs and the lows,” Wallen previously shared in a statement. “It also brings together the musical influences that have shaped me as an artist – country, alternative and hip-hop.”
