Wallen Shares Unreleased New Song, “Come Back As A Redneck”
The 31-year-old East Tennessee native and country superstar took to social media on Monday afternoon (Mar. 31) to tease a snippet of an unreleased track, which will be featured on his upcoming fourth studio album, I’m The Problem.
The song paints a vivid picture of the hardworking, blue-collar lifestyle, directed towards someone who doesn’t fully understand or appreciate the country lifestyle. Throughout the track, he wishes they could live it for themselves—working long hours for little pay, learning to take care of things on their own, and feeling the deep pride that comes with a simple, small-town life.
“I didn’t choose my raisin’, and you didn’t choose yours,” Wallen sings in the opening line of the teaser clip before going into the chorus. “When you die, I hope you come back as a redneck/ I hope it sticks on you like a hell-hot sun tattoo/ I hope you break your back for that barely-get-by paycheck/ And when you can’t, you gotta go and bloody up a buck or two/ Catch the Holy Ghost on a pine wood bench/ Drive across the county just to hook up a winch/ Revel in the pride of a simple man/ Maybe thеn you’ll understand,” Wallen sings on the chorus of the track.
Wallen previously teased this track on his Instagram.

While singing “Just In Case,” a TV screen behind him briefly flickered, partially revealed the track list for his upcoming 37-track album, I’m The Problem. The song was unveiled as Track No. 21 and featured a yet-to-be-revealed special guest. However, fans are speculating that the mystery collaboration could be with HARDY.

The 37-track project includes songs like “I’m A Little Crazy,” “Lies Lies Lies,” “Smile,” “Love Somebody,” and the heartfelt unreleased track, “Superman,” written as a letter to his son, Indigo.
