Morgan Wallen broke a record previously held by Shania Twain and Luke Combs.

The country superstar and East Tennessee’s sophomore project, Dangerous: The Double Album, tops Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart (dated April 2) for a record-breaking 51st week, breaking the 50-week record, which was held by Luke Combs’ This One’s For You and Shania Twain’s Come On Over.

Dangerous: The Double Album, which has amassed 5.9 billion on-demand U.S. streams, now hold the most weeks on the Top Country Albums chart, according to Billboard. In the tracking week ending March 24, The Big Loud/Republic Records project earned 46,000 equivalent album units (up 2%), according to Luminate (formerly known as MRC Data).

“With this milestone, [Wallen] is resetting country music history books in terms of album success,” Big Loud CEO and Wallen’s manager Seth England told the outlet. “Each artist on the historical shortlist [above has] experienced touring and fandom at this level during their prime.”

Dangerous: The Double Album was the best-selling album across all-genres in 2021 with 3.2 million unit sold.

Wallen’s project peaked at No. 1 for 10 consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200 chart and currently sits in the No. 4 spot with 46,000 equivalent units sold this week.

The record-breaking double album debuted on the Top Country Albums chart on January 23, 2021, with 265,000 equivalent album units. At the time, his project had the largest country sales since Carrie Underwood’s Cry Pretty in 2008.

Dangerous, which was produced by Joey Moi, features his latest No.1 single “Sand In My Boots,” as well as fan-favorite hits like his new radio single, “Wasted On You,” plus “7 Summers,” “More Than My Hometown,” “Cover Me Up,” “865,” “Somebody’s Problem” and more.

Earlier this month, Wallen’s Dangerous took home the ACM award for Album Of The Year at the 57th Academy Of Country Music Awards, which he was on-hand to accept.

The project was also recently was named Country Album Of The Year at the 2022 iHeartRadio Awards.

“Wasted On You” is Wallen’s current radio single from the project and has been climbing the charts. The song is the most-added at Country radio this week with 23 adds.

The East Tennessee native is currently in the midst of his massive The Dangerous Tour in support of the project. The tour, which is the biggest country tour of 2022 and runs through October, recently sold-out with over 800,000 tickets sold, according Up2DateCountry on Instagram.

In addition to HARDY and Larry Fleet, the country hitmaker recently added Lainey Wilson, Kameron Marlowe, Chase Rice, Ian Munsick, and ERNEST to his sold-out tour lineup.

The singer recently announced his first-ever Stadium show in Arlington, Texas, at Globe Life Field on October 8, 2022, with special guests HARDY, Mike Ryan and Jake Worthington.
