Morgan Wallen is already a big winner ahead of tonight’s 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards.

On Tuesday afternoon (Mar. 22), the East Tennessee native’s record-breaking sophomore project, Dangerous: The Double Album, was named Country Album of The Year by iHeartRadio.

Wallen has yet to acknowledge the award and iHeartRadio has not shared a video message.

Dangerous: The Double Album was the best-selling album across all-genres in 2021 with 3.2 million unit sold.

Wallen’s project peaked at No. 1 for 10 consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200 chart and currently sits in the No. 3 spot with 42,000 equivalent units sold this week, bringing the overall units sold to 3.5 million since its release.

Dangerous, which was produced by Joey Moi, features his latest No.1 single “Sand In My Boots,” as well as fan-favorite hits like his new radio single, “Wasted On You,” plus “7 Summers,” “More Than My Hometown,” “Cover Me Up,” “865,” “Somebody’s Problem” and more.

“Wasted On You” is Wallen’s current radio single from the project and has been climbing the charts.

The East Tennessee native is currently in the midst of his massive The Dangerous Tour in support of the project. The tour, which is the biggest country tour of 2022 and runs through October, recently sold-out with over 800,000 tickets sold, according Up2DateCountry on Instagram.

In addition to HARDY and Larry Fleet, the country hitmaker recently added Lainey Wilson, Kameron Marlowe, Chase Rice, Ian Munsick, and ERNEST to his sold-out tour lineup.

The singer recently announced his first-ever Stadium show in Arlington, Texas, at Globe Life Field on October 8, 2022, with special guests HARDY, Mike Ryan and Jake Worthington.

2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards Air Tonight At 8/7c on FOX.

Hosted by LL Cool J, the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards will also feature performances by Icon Award Recipient Jennifer Lopez, Megan Thee Stallion, Jason Aldean, John Legend, Charlie Puth, and Maneskin.

The 2-hour award show will also feature special appearances from Olivia Rodrigo, Silk Sonic, Lil Nas X, Billy Porter, The Kid LAROI, David Guetta, Avril Lavigne, Shaun White, All Time Low, Willow Smith, Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, Gina Torres, Oliver Hudson, Taylor Momsen, Lainey Wilson, Dove Cameron, Danica McKellar and more.

2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards will air on Tuesday, March 22, at 8/7c on FOX Network.

The event can also be heard on iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide and on the iHeartRadio app.
