Machine Gun Kelly was named Alternative Artist Of The Year ahead of the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
On Tuesday, March 22, the “Mainstream Sellout” singer virtually took home the iHeartRadio Music Award.
iHeartRadio shared a clip of Machine Gun Kelly, wearing white Calvin Klein boxer briefs and a blue fur coat, accepting the honor.
“Ahhhhh! Yes, yes, iHeartRadio Music Awards, this award, that is not here but is imaginary in spirit is… means so much to me. The Best Alternative Artist, it means the most to me just cause the fans road with me through this really rocky, turbulent time. You know what I’m saying. Album coming out March 25, Mainstream Sellout, that is my gift to you guys to show that we can do this not once but twice. I don’t even have pants on, I have no pants on but I’m going to tell everybody what I just won, that we won.”
The pink haired Cleveland native then ran away from the camera pantless screaming, “Hey! We won!”
Machine Gun Kelly will be hitting the road later this year on his just-announced 52-date arena.
The trek, dubbed the Mainstream Sellout Tour, will embark across North America and Europe and feature support from a star-studded list of guests, including Avril Lavigne, Travis Barker, blackbear, Trippie Redd, WILLOW, iann dior, PVRIS and 44phantom, on select dates.
Produced by Live Nation, the North American leg of the Mainstream Sellout Tour kicks off on June 8 in Austin, Texas at Moody Center and will make stops in Miami, Boston, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Nashville and more before wrapping up in Cleveland at FirstEnergy Stadium on August 13th.
The tour will mark his first-ever arena trek and will also include a special hometown Stadium performance in Cleveland, Ohio at FirstEnergy Stadium, which is the largest venue in the city.
The 15-stop European leg kicks off on September 17th at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, making stops in Prague, Paris, London and more before wrapping up in Amsterdam at AFAS Live on October 12th.
The massive tour comes in support of his upcoming new album, Mainstream Sellout, which is set to be released later this month on March 25. The project, which is available for preorder now HERE, will feature 16-tracks and a star-studded list of collaborations, including two duets with Lil Wayne, as well as collaborations with Pete Davidson, Bring Me The Horizon, Blackbear, Willow, Iann Dior, Gunna and Young Thug. The project will include the singer’s previously released singles “Emo Girl” featuring Willow, in addition to his latest release, “Ay!,” which features Lil Wayne.
