Morgan Wallen Admits It’s “A Huge Honor” To Play London’s Legendary Hyde Park

Morgan Wallen is returning to London for his biggest overseas show to date! The country superstar just announced that he will be performing in front of 65,000+ fans at the iconic 350-acre Hyde Park this summer.

“Last fall was my first time in the U.K. and man, I loved it. I saw so much while I was there, and the people were incredible,” Wallen shared before reflecting on the significance of the upcoming, “To play where legendary artists like Pink Floyd and The Rolling Stones have played is a huge honor for me and my band, and we can’t wait to be back.”

The one night only concert will take place at this city’s historic Hyde Park on July 4, 2024.

Following the announcement on Friday (Mar. 8), the country superstar took to social media to express gratitude for the opportunity to take his music overseas.

“Just wanted to post this and say how big of a deal this is for me and my team. I’ve always had a desire to bring my brand of country music to an international audience, and I’m humbled for the opportunity to do so on such a legendary stage,” Wallen wrote on Instagram.

In addition to Wallen, Shania Twain, SZA, Kings Of Leon, Stevie Nicks and Stray Kids are part of Hyde Park’s BST summer lineup.

Tickets for Morgan Wallen’s Hyde Park show go on sale Wednesday, March 13 at 10 a.m. GMT at www.bst-hydepark.com. Supporting talent to be announced at a later date.

Morgan Wallen Abbey Road Sessions

The news comes about three months (December 2023) after Wallen made his debut in London in front of 20,000 fans at the O2 Arena. At the time, he also stopped by the famous Abbey Road Studios, where artists such as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and more have recorded music, to record a seven-song digital series.

“Playing the O2 in London last fall and getting to record at Abbey Road, where so much iconic music has been made, was legendary for me and my band. We will never forget it,” Wallen shared of his trip overseas that included a sold-out show at the O2 for his first-time playing London. “I’m so excited to release these Abbey Road Sessions for my fans on the one-year anniversary of One Thing At A Time. They make all this possible.”

He called the series Abbey Road Sessions, and it comes in celebration of the one-year anniversary of his record-breaking album, One Thing At A Time. Abbey Road Sessions includes five live recordings of Wallen’s favorites tracks from One Thing At A Time, a never-before-recorded cover of Nothing But Thieves’ “Graveyard Whistling” as well as “Lies Lies Lies.”

The project dropped on the one-year anniversary of Wallen’s third studio album, One Thing At A Time. The project went on to claim the top spot on the Billboard Top 200 chart for 18 non-consecutive weeks, tying Garth Brooks’ 1991 Ropin’ the Wind record with the most weeks at No. 1 for a country album and becoming the most-streamed album of the year, all genres, on Spotify.

Abbey Road Sessions was recorded in the iconic Studio Two at the world-renowned Abbey Road Studios in London on December 5, 2023.

Working New Album

Additionally, Morgan Wallen is currently working on his yet-to-be announced fourth studio album, which will serve as the follow-up to One Thing At A Time. He revealed on that he is working on his new album, during an interview with Billboard. While chatting with the outlet, the 30-year-old country hitmaker shared that he is currently “writing and reviewing” songs for album 4.

The Abbey Road Sessions project featured a brand-new song, titled “Lies Lies Lies.” He has also teased several new songs on social media that will likely appear on his new album, such as “I Guess” and “I Had Some Help,” which he co-wrote with Post Malone, ERNEST and Charlie Handsome.

Furthermore, Wallen is currently in the midst of his massive One Night At A Time World Tour, which will visit stadiums through August 2024.
