Morgan Wallen got his head shaved bald by Barstool Sports’ Sundae Conversations’ podcast host Caleb Pressley in a new advertisement for RYL Tea, a brand Wallen invests in. The commercial, featuring Wallen’s comical haircut, took place in a Barber Shop that they named Ryl Cuts.
“Voila, Wallen. The Ryl Story behind my haircut w @calebpressley,” Wallen and Pressley captioned the clip, collectively.
Ryl Tea Promotional video
The clip begins with Morgan Wallen, wearing a flannel button-up, jeans, and a Field And Stream ball cap, walking into the Ryl Cuts Barbershop, where he was greeted by a cashier at the shop’s front counter. The East Tennessee native looking to get a haircut, Wallen soon discovered that the only available barber was none other than Caleb Pressley.
“Looks like we have one chair available, and it’s actually going to be with…” the Barbershop cashier said, before Caleb Pressley appeared, clad in a barber smock. Pressley, recognizing Wallen, hilariously asked if the country singer wanted the same style as the last time they met. Wallen, recalling his previous experience, replied, “Last time you shaved all my hair off.”
In response, Pressley confidently claimed, “And everyone loved it,” to which Wallen candidly admitted, “Everyone… hated it.” Pressley went on to express concern for Wallen’s well-being, asking, “You seemed stressed, are you okay?”
“I’m alright,” Wallen replied, before Pressley assured him that he upped his hair cutting skills. “Trust me, I got better, I just did Kenny Chesney‘s,” Pressley joked.
The “Last Night” singer then made his way to the barber chair, where Pressley put a black Ryl Cuts barbershop cape on the country superstar and asked him how he has been and checked in on the status of his throat, referencing the “throat goat” joke Pressley made when Wallen appeared on Barstool Sports’ Sundae Conversations’ podcast.
“Throat’s good. Hair is back, so let’s keep that in mind,” Wallen reminded him. As the clip continued, Pressley grabbed the scissors and the buzzers and went on to “trim” Wallen’s hair as they engaged in casual conversation. Hair showered down onto the floor
“Voila, Wallen. Perfect!” Pressley said, before admitting, I didn’t do a good job.” A seemingly unhappy Wallen asked Pressley, “can you take care of my gas for getting here as well.”
He replied, “we got clients coming in. I got someone else coming in soon.” Wallen then joked, “I’m sure you don’t.”
Is Morgan Wallen Bald?
The clip concluded with makeshift photos of Wallen with a choppy haircut and another of him with a shiny bald head.
In August of 2023, Wallen shaved his head, cutting off his signature mullet, however, it seems this promotional clip for Ryl Tea was just poking fun at the viral haircut moment, and he didn’t actually get another haircut.
Is There Caleb Pressley Ryl Tea Collaboration On The Way?
It’s unclear if this was an advertisement for Wallen’s Sweet Tea flavor of Ryl Tea, or if this commercial served as a teaser for what’s to come from the tea brand. Maybe a collaboration with Caleb Pressley is in the works for a future partnership?
The Ryl Company’s Ryl Tea
The video served as a commercial for RYL Tea. In April of 2023, Morgan Wallen announced a major partnership with The Ryl Company’s iced tea, RYL Tea, a zero-sugar iced tea product with no artificial ingredients. The chart-topping singer/songwriter also signed on as an investor.
Months after announcing his investment and partnership with the tea brand, Wallen revealed his own signature RYL Tea flavor: Wallen’s Sweet Tea. Inspired by memories of his early childhood summers spent in East Tennessee, the drink offers an exquisite taste while also being a healthy alternative to other more sugary sweet tea options.
“This tea takes me right back to my Mamaw’s front porch on a hot summer’s day,” Wallen shared. “I’ve loved sweet tea since I was a kid. I remember drinking it out of a pitcher on a hot summer day in my Mamaw Boots’ kitchen. A good iced tea brings back very happy memories for me, so when I found Ryl Tea, I knew I had something special that I wanted to share.”’
The Ryl Company was founded in January of 2023 by beverage industry executive Blodin Ukella.
According to a press release, “the iced tea brand “takes inspiration from the traditional Albanian tea culture, and perfectly combines the real steeped tea benefits (the natural functionality of tea polyphenols) with delicious iced tea flavor and natural sweetness from monk fruit and stevia.”
Ryl Tea is available in major grocery store chains across the Northeast, including Wegmans, Shoprite and Whole Foods Market. Fans can purchase Ryl Tea nationwide in those stores or via their official website: viadrinkryl.com.
