Miranda Lambert shows off her teenage years— Texas style!

The Texas native jumped on the “Teenage Dirtbag” TikTok trend this afternoon, sharing photos as she was just making her way into the spotlight as a young teen. The country superstar reveals her long blonde locks and reminisces on 2000s fashion trends, while giving her fans a good laugh with her Willie Nelson tank.

She captioned the post, “Hell why not… Teenage dirtbag Texas style.”

This trend is going around social media finding users sharing throwback photos of their teenage years to a sped up version of the popular Wheatus track, “Teenage Dirtbag.”

Other artists who have joined in on the trend include Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood, Jameson Rodgers, Gwen Stefani, Darius Rucker, among hundreds of thousands of other TikTok users.

Lambert started her music career in 2003 and has since become a household name, earning ten No. 1 hits to her name along with three GRAMMY Awards, twenty-nine ACM Awards, six American Country Awards, eight CMT Music Awards, fourteen CMA Awards, and many other awards and nominations.

Lambert received three nominations for the 56th annual CMA Awards including Album of the Year (Palomino), Entertainer of the Year, and Female Vocalist of the Year.

Upon hearing the exciting news of her nominations on Wednesday (Sept. 7), Lambert took to social media.

“💖 I’m so thankful to be part of the country music family,” Lambert said. “Congrats to all the nominees. Gonna be a big ol party this year at the #CMAawards!”

Throughout her career, the country superstar has racked up a total of 61 career nominations—making her the most nominated female artist in CMA Awards history. Lambert is now the most-nominated female artist and the third most-nominated artist in CMA history, following George Strait (83) and Alan Jackson (81).

In addition, Lambert holds a consecutive streak of nominations for Female Vocalist, collecting her 16th nomination since 2007. In CMA history, Lambert is a seven-time winner in the Female Vocalist category, and earns her sixth nomination for Album of the Year (won in 2010 and 2014). She earned her sixth nomination for the biggest prize of the night, Entertainer of the Year.

Lambert recently released her ninth studio album, Palomino, and will soon kick off her first-ever Las Vegas Residency, dubbed Velvet Rodeo, at Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theater on September 23.

Her Vegas residency will run through April 2023 and take place at Zappos Theater inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. As for the set list, it will feature beloved songs from Lambert’s entire career thus far, including her most recent release, Palomino.

In addition, Lambert said her residency will feature top-notch production, wardrobe changes, a solo acoustic performance, and more.

Lambert said she chose “Velvet Rodeo” as the name of her residency because it felt both “feminine” and “rodeo.” The title is derived from Lambert’s song, “Actin’ Up.”

“‘Velvet Rodeo’ felt right off the bat when this Vegas residency came to the table,” she said. “I think it feels feminine, but it also says rodeo. So that’s like feminine and badass, and that’s kinda what I tried to build my career on.”

The country hitmaker promises fans a once-in-a-lifetime experience with her 24-date residency. She will also be donating $1 dollar from every ticket sold to Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit that has raised over $6 million since its inception in 2009.

All residency shows will begin promptly at 8pm PST, and are on-sale now!

Tickets to Lambert’s Vegas residency are available now for purchase here.
