Miranda Lambert stunned the Stagecoach crowd with her electrifying 22-song set on Saturday evening (April 27) and truly surprised concertgoers when she brought out surprise guest, country music icon Reba McEntire, for an unforgettable three-song finale.
Miranda Lambert And Reba McEntire Deliver Explosive Trio Of Hits
Lambert tricked fans into thinking her set was over when she closed out with a rowdy performance of “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home),” sans collaborator Elle King, when she returned to the stage to deliver an epic encore that included a trio of hits alongside McEntire at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.
“I was thinking it would be pretty badass if I had a feisty redhead from Oklahoma to sing this song with me tonight,” Lambert said, teasing the crowd before welcoming McEntire to the stage.
The pair of country music queens kicked off their collaborative three-song performance with Lambert’s fan-favorite hit, “Mama’s Broken Heart.” Lambert and McEntire traded verses throughout the track before joining forces on the track’s chorus.
The lights then turned red as Lambert, donning a black and baby blue ensemble, and McEntire, wearing denim jeans and a sparkling brown top beneath a western jacket complete with brown fringe, burst into the iconic country hit, “Fancy.”
Braving the high winds, Lambert and McEntire then strutted down the catwalk hand-in-hand for an explosive joint performance of Lambert’s rebellious anthem, “Gunpowder & Lead.”
The dynamic duo capped off their fiery performance with a grand finale fireworks display that lit up the sky above the T-Mobile Mane Stage at Stagecoach, which took place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.
Lambert Stunned With A Triumphant 22-Song Set At Stagecoach
In addition to performing with Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert delivered a triumphant 22-song set at Stagecoach that included some of her biggest hits, such as “Kerosene,” “If I Was A Cowboy,” “The House That Built Me,” “Automatic,” “Tin Man,” “Tequila Does,” “White Liar,” “Little Red Wagon,” “Bluebird,” “Vice” and more.
She Even Debuted New Music
The three-time Grammy winner and most-awarded artist in Academy of Country Music (ACM) history also offered the live debut of her forthcoming new single, “Wranglers,” which arrives on May 3. The tune marks Lambert’s first new solo material since 2022’s GRAMMY-nominated project, Palomino.
Of the song, Lambert previously explained, “‘Wranglers’ is a tale of a woman taking her power back. I think we can all identify with the character in this song, because we have all had a time in our life that we needed to find a way to find our strength and also get a little revenge on someone that did us wrong or hurt us.” She also revealed that this new song “feels like it could be on the same record as ‘Gunpowder & Lead’” as it has the “same fury.”
“Wranglers” is Lambert’s first new music since signing with her new label home, Republic Records. The record deal with Republic Records will include support from Big Loud, who will cover Country Radio promotion alongside additional marketing efforts.
Additionally, Miranda Lambert recently wrapped up her highly-successful 48-date Las Vegas Residency and is gearing up to embark on a slew of headlining tour dates, including a three-night stint at Whitewater Amphitheater in New Braunfels, Texas. Lambert’s tour will run throughout the Summer, with concerts from coast to coast and date through September, including several major festival performances such as Rock the Country, Calgary Stampede, Under the Big Sky and more.
