Luke Bryan kicked off his first-ever, highly-anticipated Las Vegas residency, dubbed Luke Bryan: Vegas, with a sold-out show at the brand-new Resorts World Theatre on the Vegas strip on Friday evening (Feb. 11).

The five-time Entertainer Of The Year is now the third artist to grace the stage of the 5,000-seat world-class theatre, which is the largest and tallest in Las Vegas, following fellow American Idol judge Katy Perry and country superstar Carrie Underwood.

Ahead of the show’s launch, Bryan promised to keep his set “real authentic,” and he did just that with his electrifying 19-song set that truly highlighted his both his vocals as well as his ability to put on an mesmerizing, energy-filled concert that further cements his status as one of the best entertainers in country music.

“What an amazing night and start to our run of headlining shows at Resorts World Las Vegas,” Bryan said. “We’ve worked long and hard to put together an incredible, high-energy show for the fans. I am so proud of how it turned out, and I hope everyone who comes leaves there having as much fun as me.”

The set list for Luke Bryan: Vegas spanned Bryan’s entire discography and included songs from his debut album, I’ll Stay Me, through his latest album, Born Here Live Here Die Here. He performed chart-topping anthems such as “One Margarita,” “Knockin’ Boots,” “Waves,” “Huntin’, Fishin’, And Lovin’ Every Day,” “Country Girl (Shake It for Me),” among many others.

He also treated the capacity crowd to a stripped down, piano-driven portion of the set, which featured “Strip It Down,” “Do I,” and “Drink A Beer.” Bryan even earned a thunderous standing ovation after performing “Drink A Beer.”

“This is an amazing night guys, this is an amazing situation to have a place here in Las Vegas to call home… To play every night and have fun!” Bryan gushed in the midst of his fiery set.

Bryan brought an award-worthy, top-notch production that included lasers, pyrotechnics, vibrant lighting, an elevated catwalk, video walls and more, making for a visually stunning performance that wowed the capacity audience.

Throughout the 90+ minute set, the Georgia native got to joke and interact with fans on a more intimate level in the world-class theatre.

“Y’all don’t be screwing up my damn Yelp review… I don’t need, no three-star sh*t!” Bryan joked at one moment. “I’m workin’ my a** off!”

While Bryan didn’t have the choreographed dancers or costume changes that Perry and Underwood brought for their residencies, he surely didn’t disappoint as a one-man entertainer alongside his 6-piece band. His stage presence was a force to be reckoned with throughout the evening, as he work every inch of the massive stage and even took to the crowd to interact with the fans who were lucky enough to score a ticket to the sought after concert.

There’s not a bad seat in the house at the 5,000 capacity Resorts World Theatre, however, Bryan made sure to take his elevated catwalk 40 feet above the crowd seated on the floor to greet and interact with concertgoers who had seats in the mezzanine and balcony levels.
