Luke Bryan previously shared that his “Momma’s coming to Vegas” and now during a recent interview, he joked that he may have to hire her a bodyguard as she’s become quite the celebrity in her own right.

On Thursday afternoon (Feb. 11), while chatting with the media about his first-ever Las Vegas Residency, which kicks off tonight (Friday, Feb. 11) at Resorts World Theatre, Bryan opened up about what fans can expect and even joked about his mother LeClaire.

During the interview, the country superstar was asked “tell us if mom will be part of opening weekend or if she’ll come later on in the residency.”

“Yeah my mom… Gosh, I mean, my momma… she’s becoming quite the celebrity,” the Georgia native quickly replied, before joking, “I guess I may have to get her a bodyguard out here.”

The “UP” singer shared that his wife Caroline Bryan and “a lot” of their friends from Nashville are coming in for opening night,” however, his mom will not be attending, but will be joining him the following week. He continued to say that he’s already “set some chips aside for her,” but she will probably “go burn up the slots” when she gets there.

Bryan previously told Good Morning America host George Stephanopoulos that his mom will be out spending lots of money during her visit to Sin City at some of the local stores on the Las Vegas Strip.

“So, what’s the big shopping center out here? [The Shops At Crystals] and all that. Yeah, my credit card will be in flames come Friday,” Bryan continued.

Earlier this month during an episode of CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown with Cody Alan, the country hitmaker first revealed the news that his mother, LeClaire, would be attending his Sin City residency.

“You better believe Momma’s coming to Vegas!” Luke captioned the video clip on Twitter.

During the interview with Alan, Bryan shared that his mom is already ready for Vegas. He also joked that he is going to have to pay some costly fees for her smoking in her hotel room and that she might even order up some room service during her visit at Resorts World.

“She’s already punched her ticket. She’ll be in Vegas,” the hitmaker told Alan, before adding, “She’ll probably get fried catfish to the room. She’ll be smoking cigarettes in the room, so I’ll have to pay the no smoking charges. She’s coming to Vegas with bells on, she’s ready to rock!”

Bryan will take the stage in Vegas Feb 11, 12, 16, 18, 19, 20, 23, 25 & 26. The 5,000-capacity, world-class theatre opened its doors last November. Tickets are on sale now at AXS.com.

In addition to Bryan’s upcoming Vegas shows, the superstar just-announced his 30+ city ‘Raised Up Right’ Tour, which will kick off on June 9 in Charleston, West Virginia. The trek will also feature support from Riley Green, Mitchell Tenpenny and DJ Rock.

“My favorite place to be is on stage performing to country music fans,” Bryan said in a press release. “So thankful every night when I walk out on that stage and know you are there to have a blast along beside me. It never gets old!”

The tour takes its name from the chorus of Bryan’s current hit single, “Up,” which is the sixth single from Bryan’s No. 1 album, Born Here Live Here Die Here
