Fans have waited years to hear Kane Brown and his wife Katelyn Brown’s duet, and the moment has finally come as the country hitmaker shared the first snippet of “Thank God.”

The country superstar took to social media on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 4) to share a teaser of the song, which will impact country radio on Monday, September 12.

“First teaser (Thank God) with my wife @katelynbrown ❤️” he captioned the clip. ”So excited 🔥 releasing this Friday with my album Different Man!!”

In the just-released video teaser, Brown and his wife are seen in the studio recording the much-anticipated duet. Throughout the clip, The Browns are all smiles as they sing the heartfelt tune in perfect harmony.

“I Thank God I get to wake up by your side / Thank God your hand fits perfectly in mine / Thank God you love me when you didn’t have to / but you did and you do / and he knew / Thank God for giving me you,” the beloved country couple sings on the track’s chorus.

During a recent interview with Bobby Bones, Brown opened up about “Thank God” and Katelyn’s part on the song. “She’s got a whole verse and she’s singing the chorus with me,” Brown revealed, before sharing that his wife was “killin’ it” in the studio.

Brown later admitted that his wife was “nervous” while recording and said that he and producer Dann Huff had to comfort her.

“She was nervous, but it was just me, her and Dann [Huff]. I told her he’s great and he’s very comforting and she went in and she had no reason to be nervous first of all, but she was… Dann calmed her down and I don’t know if we’re going to use the video or not, but the video footage we got, I’m dancing in the other room through the glass to calm her down and then she starts having fun,” he explained.

“Thank God,” which was co-written by Josh Hoge, Jaxson Free, Kyle Fishman, Christian Davis, and Jared Mullins, is the next single from Brown’s forthcoming third studio album, Different Man. The project is set to release on Friday, September 9.

The project will feature a whopping 17 songs, including the duet with his wife as well as a collaboration with country superstar Blake Shelton. The album will also include his latest single, “Like I Love Country Music,” plus previously released tracks “Grand,” “One Mississippi,” “Whiskey Sour,” and “Leave You Alone.”

“I’m most excited, when it comes to releasing this new project, for people to see how much I’ve grown as an artist,” Brown said of Different Man.

Different Man follows Brown’s second studio album, 2018’s Experiment. In August of 2020, Brown released his ACM-nominated EP, Mixtape Vol. 1, which included several hit singles such as “Cool Again,” “Worldwide Beautiful” “Worship You” and his Top 40 radio single, “Be Like That” featuring Khalid and Swae Lee.

While “Thank God” marks the couple’s first duet, this isn’t Katelyn’s first time in the recording studio. Prior to meeting Kane, Katelyn was embarking on a solo career as an R&B/Pop singer and that’s actually how the couple met.

In a 2020 interview with RADIO.com’s Kelly Ford, Kane shared the story about his first time meeting Katelyn.

“We met down in Florida at my very first show ever, I believe it was in 2015. The day before that show, I was supposed to be in her music video because she was an artist as well, and it couldn’t happen cause my show was the same day as the music video,” he recalled.

“So a year goes by and the same guy we were working with brings her to a show, she didn’t want to come and he forced her basically. We met, we didn’t talk at all, I maybe said hey to her but I thought she was adorable and I kept looking at her all night. So I asked her to come to Nashville like the next day, I flew her down and we just hit it off and she never left.”

Later this month, Brown will embark on a massive international tour, dubbed the Drunk or Dreaming Tour.

The trek will feature special guests Restless Road, Jessie James Decker, Blanco Brown and Chris Lane on select dates. Kicking off on September 17 in Melbourne, Australia, the tour will continue through Australia, New Zealand, Canada, UK, and Europe.

The international leg of the Drunk or Dreaming Tour marks Brown’s first time touring in Australia and New Zealand, and his long-awaited return to Canada and Europe.

In addition, Brown recently announced the U.S. leg of his Drunk or Dreaming Tour, which features support from Dustin Lynch, Gabby Barrett and LOCASH.

The U.S. leg of the tour will kick off in Grand Rapids, MI on March 16, 2023, and will visit 23 cities throughout the United States before wrapping up in Greenwood Village, CO at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre on Saturday, June 10, 2023.

While embarking on the massive headlining trek, Brown will headline Bridgestone Arena in Nashville for the first time ever on March 31.
