Wilson rocked a black cowboy hat, studded leather jacket over a crop top, black bell bottoms embellished with brown fringe and cowboy-inspired accessories, while her boyfriend Devlin opted for an all black ensemble complete with a black cowboy hat. The couple were all smiles as they posed for an adorable photo at the coveted event.
The reigning CMA Entertainer of The Year dominated the 49th People’s Choice Awards, taking home the trophy for Female Country Artist of The Year as well as performing a show-stopping medley of her biggest hits such as “Things A Man Oughta Know,” “Heart Like A Truck” and “Watermelon Moonshine,” intertwined with her current single, “Country’s Cool Again.”
Heidi Klum captured Wilson’s boyfriend Devlin dancing to her performance during the People’s Choice Awards and shared a clip to her Instagram stories. Wilson was also sure to give her boyfriend a sweet shout during her acceptance speech, thanking him and letting him know she loves him.

How Did Lainey Wilson Meet Boyfriend Devlin Hodges?
Lainey Wilson and Devlin Hodges have been dating for quite some time, but only took their relationship into the spotlight early last year. Wilson and the former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback went public, making their red carpet debut at the 58th ACM Awards in May of 2023 after dating for around two years. However, Wilson decided it was best to keep their relationship a secret until the time was right.
“I said, ‘We gonna see if you’re in it for the right reasons.’ Turns out, he is,” Wilson previously explained to PEOPLE in June of 2023. “Somebody said how funny it was watching him high-five all of my artist friends at the ACMs, and I said, ‘Those are his friends!’ He’ll FaceTime me, and he’ll be with HARDY and Morgan [Wallen] and Luke [Combs], and I’m like, ‘Stop stealing all my buddies,’” she continued. “They’ll always be out golfing and drinking a beer. I don’t have to convince anybody to like him. He’s a very lovable person.”
She went on to say that she and Hodges are in a “healthy relationship” and admitted that he is “one of my biggest cheerleaders and champions.”
The Couple Has Been Dating For Over Two Years
During a discussion with Bobby Bones on The Bobby Bones Show, Wilson admitted that Hodges has “been around for a while.”
“I just decided to make him wait for two and a half years. He’s a good dude. He knows what it’s like chasing a dream. He’s done that for himself. He was in the NFL. He tried out, literally, for the Steelers, and made it and had a really great run with them. I’ll tell ya, he is good as gold,” she gushed. “He supports me. He would never come in between anything that I’m trying to do. He’s like, ‘Go get it, girl.’ And I made him wait for a while. I mean…it’s been a little over two years now.”
The couple reportedly began dating in 2021 after meeting through mutual friends in Music City. Lainey Wilson recently admitted that “it feels really good to talk about” her relationship with Devlin Hodges now that their relationship has been made public.
“Duck is the kind of dude who high-fives me on the way in the door and on the way out and says, ‘Go get it.’ He knows how important this dream is to me,” Wilson gushed of Hodges while talking with PEOPLE.
Wilson Is Writing Love Songs Inspired By Her Boyfriend
She later revealed that her “healthy relationship” with Hodges has already begun to inspire her to write love songs for her new album.
“I was never really able to write love songs, because I don’t know if I had actually felt it, but I’m writing me some love songs now. I’m grateful for him,” Wilson added in the PEOPLE exclusive interview.
“I’m in a very happy, healthy relationship right now, and I’ve never written a love song in my life until the last two and a half years,” she later revealed during an interview with American Songwriter. “He makes it very easy for me to do that. It’s going to be really easy to show that different side of me because I am in a very healthy relationship, and you’re gonna be hearing things out of me that I didn’t even know I was capable of. It’s really cool when you can completely let those walls down. I’m learning things about myself right now that I didn’t even know was possible. I’m able to share more of my life. Being able to say, ‘Hey, I’m happy and healthy and in love,’ it’s something I didn’t know I was gonna get a chance to say.”
Devlin “Duck” Hodges is one of Lainey Wilson’s biggest fans and has been by her side for each milestone she has earned over the last few years.
Since going public, the couple have walked several red carpets together, including the 2023 CMA Awards, among others. The pair have also showcased their support for each other on social media as well offered fans a glimpse into their relationship with TikTok videos and more.
