Days after making his live performance debut on The Bachelorette with his single “Memorize You,” Laine Hardy announced that he is set to make his Grand Ole Opry debut.
The Louisiana native shared the exciting news of his upcoming Opry debut via his social media. The Buena Vista Records / Industrial Media’s 19 Recordings artist shared a video of himself paying homage to Hank Williams, performing a cover of Williams’ iconic country hit, “Jambalaya.”
“This is my cover of ‘Jambalaya,’ which was written by the late, great Hank Williams,” Hardy captioned the video, covering Williams’ classic hit. “Hank made his @opry debut on June 11, 1949 and I’m so excited to tell you that I get the honor of making my OWN debut on the Opry Stage August 28. I could not be more excited to step into the Circle that night. Thank you guys as always for all your support.”
“Growing up listening to country music, playing the Grand Ole Opry has always been a dream of mine,” Hardy admits. “Stepping into that circle where so many artists I’ve loved my whole life have been, it’s really going to be a crazy and special moment for me.”
