CRS 2023 attendees are in for a treat as country superstar Kenny Chesney has been announced as the featured artist for “The Artist Interview” at this year’s conference. Presented by BMI, the rare and exclusive Q+A session with Chesney will cover the chart-topping singer’s incredible career and what is next.

“We’re thrilled to have Kenny join us at CRS ‘23 in March. There’s so much to talk about,” said CRS/CRB executive director RJ Curtis. “He’s been an important and consistently relevant artist for three decades, entertaining millions of fans with a dynamic show that brings his massive catalog of hits to life one stadium at a time. Only a very few artists – from any genre – can claim this achievement, and Kenny Chesney lives in that rare air. We can’t wait for this session at CRS.”

The eight-time Entertainer of the Year has reached wild touring success, selling more than a million tickets for every full-size tour since 2003. His most recent stint – Kenny Chesney’s Here And Now Tour – sold over 1.2 million tickets, marking his highest-grossing tour ever with $135 million, according to Pollstar.

Chesney kicked off his tour back in April at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, the outlet indicated. The show broke Chesney’s 2018 record with 58,369 fans in attendance. Besides Raymond James Stadium, AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Ford Field in Detroit and Gillette Stadium in Foxborough all represented key markets where Chesney broke additional attendance records.

The East Tennessee native has collaborated with massive names in the industry, including Willie Nelson, P!nk, the Wailers, Uncle Kracker, George Strait, Dave Matthews and Grace Potter. His current single with reigning ACM Group Of The Year Old Dominion, “Beer With My Friends,” adds another hit to the long list of tracks Chesney has secured.

Chesney’s success on his Here And Now Tour placed him at No. 7 on Pollstar’s third quarter recap of ticket revenue. The tour included a 26-song set list and featured support from Old Dominion, Dan + Shay and Carly Pearce.

“Music is such an important piece of people’s lives,” shared Chesney. “I believe music is medicine. It changes lives, makes a difference and is there every step of the way. I can’t wait to dig in and talk about all these songs, all these moments and the journey to how we got there.”

Chesney’s last appearance at the Country Radio Seminar was in 2020, where he accepted the Country Radio Broadcasters (CRB) Artist Humanitarian Award for his exceptional humanitarian efforts shown throughout his career.

The discussion featuring the “American Kids” will take place on March 13-15 during CRS 2023 at Nashville’s Omni Hotel.

Registration for CRS 2023 is open now for $649 per person. Tickets for the New Faces of Country Music Showcase are sold separately for $100 each. To register, visit www.CountryRadioSeminar.com.
